"We are waiting for 4K Construction to finish another roof. Our initial meeting with Cohen went very well! At that meeting my wife and I decided to look no further. This company was perfect. Cohen was punctual and had our measurements done and samples shown to us. He got back with us in a couple hours with an estimate which was less than we anticipated. He also was able to share with us the cost of a metal roof. It was much more so we went with shingles with a 50 year guarantee. We really liked Cohen. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We feel 4K will do an excellent job and look forward to working with them! We also discussed the remodel of our bathroom which was damaged with the leak in the roof. Cohen told us they could do the remodel. We’ll discuss that project at a later date. Thank you for leading us to this company. We will recommend 4K Construction."

"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

A chimney cap costs about $300 on average to install, with prices ranging from $75 to $1,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the professional you hire, the accessibility of your chimney, the cap's material and size, whether any repairs are needed, and if it requires custom fabrication. Chimney caps are usually made from galvanized steel, stainless steel, or copper. Copper caps are the most expensive, followed by stainless steel and then galvanized steel. Excluding labor, average material costs are around $100 for galvanized steel, $250 for stainless steel, and $600 for copper. You may also face additional costs, such as hiring a chimney sweep to clean the chimney before the cap is installed.

A few disadvantages of installing solar panels on your roof include the high up-front costs and the potential for increased property taxes. Installing solar panels can increase the home’s value, which in turn can mean higher taxes. Depending on your area, you should check with your local tax offices for more information. Another potential pitfall is roof leaks from a poor installation, but this shouldn’t be an issue if you hire a reputable company.

You’re going to need a permit for nearly every roof-raising project. This is a very important step, as the work you’re doing has serious safety considerations. Professionals are the ones to handle this type of work—including sourcing the permits—as they have the expertise required to perform the work safely. Insurance and warranty are usually voided if you do this work without a permit, and you may even be required to halt construction and tear it down as a penalty for working without a building permit.

Yes, many contractors offer warranties for their work. Confirm terms before hiring.

The ridge is the horizontal line where two sloping roof sections meet at the top, forming the highest point of the roof. A hip, on the other hand, is the external angle formed where two roof sections meet and slope downward toward the walls, typically at a lower angle than the ridge. The ridge runs horizontally along the peak and the hip runs diagonally from the peak to the roof's edges.
