Jeremy Hettinger Construction

This was one of the worst experiences of my life.  Hettinger had replaced a detached garage roof for me a few years earlier and did a fine job, was prompt and kept his word;  that's why I hired him again.  There's not enough space to relate this nightmare, but here are the highlights:  it took 3 months to do the roof, he tried to bully me into paying a lot more money partway through because he said the job was more work than he had estimated; they left a huge mess in my yard and a pile of debris in the driveway; they left a section of the soffit undone.  The workers had failed to secure a sheet of protective material properly early in the process, so rain poured in to my ceilings.  Hettinger came over and punched holes in the ceilings, vowing to take responsibility for repairing them by the end; he did not.  Our lawyer had to send him a letter to tell him to finish the work and stop harrassing me for more money.  At the end, it cost me $800 to have the damage repaired that they did, and another 150 to get the soffit finished.  I still have the pile of debris...and my roof leaked last week when it rain--they had failed to seal around a pipe that went to the outside.  This company is dishonest and hypocritical;  seriously, do not hire them.

We were not that happy with the out come. They started it last fall and it is still not done. They did complete the roof. We needed new guttering and that has yet to be done. There are three or four other people in town that are waiting for their work to be finished also. We are not the only ones waiting. The damage was done in June and the work was put on September. I haven't seen him since September. They did a great job with the roof. He brought a large crew and were only here one day. They need to com e back to replace the guttering on two sides of the house. That has not happened yet and it has been nine months.This is difficult because he did a great job on the roof, but they need to come back and finish.
