"They did a great job in a timely fashion. It was new construction on a tight timeline and they came through for us! Recommended them for a small project for a family member( person they hired bailed) called Rod and he showed up the next day."

"We hired Dwight and his crew to repair a drywall hole. We also needed them to clean up the drywall on our ceiling to make it look great. They applied a knockdown texture and painted it. They also cleaned up some other projects we needed (a ceiling transition, tape pealing in our master bath vaulted ceiling, and unfinished drywall project. Dwight gave good advice without being pushy. His crew was quick, quiet and did a great job. It all looks great."

"Petey and his team came in and handled it. Repaired all my self inflicted home improvement damage. Patched and sanded, all the bells and whistles. The pain looks great, along with the swirl they put in the ceiling. I’m going to have them back, I’m team S and S."

"Oliver is such a great guy and awesome to work with. I rate him an A+ as a person. His one side fall is he does not perform enough quality control oversight throughout project. His workers made several mistakes that I had to go back and repair. They removed old paneling from our basement and put up Sheetrock. The ugly shag carpet was going to be after the Sheetrock and painting so I rips them not worry about damaging the floors. Here are a few of the mistakes they made (I have pictures if needed) 1. They sheetrocked over my return vent. I had locate the duct work. Cut a new hole and install it myself. 2. They Sheetrocked over the cable tv outlet. I had to locate the spot and pull the line though myself. 3. They left all the electrical outlets just sitting without attaching them to anything, and did not replace the plates. 4. This is the biggest one of all- I did not notice until after they left. They did not Sheetrock to the base of each step. The paneling ran down to the base of each step (as it should). They only Sheetrocked down to the top of the long shag carpet. There is now a 1/2 to 1 inch gap. They should have called me and asked if only wanted my Sheetrock to run from the ceiling to 1 inch above the base of the steps. I am still unsure how to fix this- I will probably have to spend even more money and put up wood trim to cover the bottom- I am putting in a very low pile carpet. Although I imagine there is literally no person who would want that. They did a lot of work on my house including the Sheetrock in my bathroom and were here for nearly a week. 95% of the work turned out great so I imagine they would be great for a smaller job that you as the homeowner can supervise more frequently. Unfortunately I was working most of the time and not able to get away. I won?t make that mistake again. Feel free to email me at [email protected] if want to view some pictures (great and not so great too)"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Ceiling-mounted curtains won’t damage the ceiling if they’re installed properly. Using the right anchors or securing the brackets into joists will ensure the curtain weight is properly supported and prevent damage. However, overtightening screws, using weak anchors, or repeatedly removing and reinstalling hardware in the same spot can cause cracking or sagging over time. In that case, you might have to call a pro for ceiling repair.

Whether it’s better to screw or glue drywall depends on your specific budget and project timeline. Professional drywall installers are more likely to use screws and fasteners than adhesives, but it takes longer. But if you are DIYing your drywall installation, glue is a perfectly fine choice if you’re willing to pay extra for adhesive.

A nail in drywall cannot hold very much—usually only a few pounds. A nail in a stud can add support and hold around 20 pounds. If you are trying to hang something heavier, get some help from drywall anchors—toggle bolts are very strong and able to withstand more weight.

If your premixed drywall mud is dried out or has begun to set in the bucket, you may be able to revive it by adding warm water and stirring. However, the first and most important step is to scrape off any hard, dried bits of drywall that may have accumulated toward the top of the container and throw them away because they will not easily reconstitute back into the drywall mud mix.

The short answer is yes, a sagging plaster ceiling is dangerous. Sagging plaster on a wall is something you should fix immediately, but it isn’t a major concern. If the same type of sagging occurs on a ceiling, however, you could be in danger of your ceiling falling in large chunks. When plaster sags, it loses its strength and ability to hold itself up. The bonds that hold it together are strong, though, so if a sagging area falls, it will take large pieces down with it.
