"Eric is fantastic to work with. He was up front and honest with what the issue was, what his costs were, and how long I should expect the work to take. He kept me informed throughout the project and did an excellent job. Eric is definitely my go to electrician from here on out."

"Eric did all the electrical work for my new home construction, including wiring for a whole house generator, an RV pad, and an electric vehicle. His work was outstanding, with great attention to detail, such as labeling the electric panel, and making sure his work area was cleaned up after each job was completed. I would have no hesitation in hiring Eric for any future electrical work and, in fact, have hired him for several smaller projects since my house project was completed. I believe his prices are fair for the quality work that he provides."

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Local electricians with experience in your area understand the local building codes, which is very important when doing new electrical work. They also have experience with the kind of electrical problems homes in your location may have, and even the components that were used in the original construction, which leads them to make faster and better decisions.

Having a Level 2 charger can increase your home value, especially as electric vehicles become more popular. Homebuyers who have EVs or are interested in getting one will appreciate the convenience of a ready-to-use charging station. The added value can vary based on location and buyer preferences.

Upgrading your electrical system can save you money on your monthly utility bills by powering your home more efficiently. Electrification nonprofit Rewiring America estimates that a household could save $1,800 per year on energy bills by upgrading to a modern electric heat pump, switching to a heat pump for their water, installing solar panels on the roof, and converting to an electric vehicle.

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.
