"Switching from a gas car to an EV entails a sharp learning curve. Having a charger installed with an outlet that didn’t previously exist isn’t an easy job. Josiah installed a new outlet, changed the paneling, and set up my charger in two hours. It’s hard enough just to get an electrician to show up. Make your life easier and just hire Josiah to get the job done right."

"Besides a wiring upgrade, I had a humidifier installed on my furnace, a whole house surge protector installed, a mini-split heating/cooling unit installed on the 2nd floor, multiple outlets added and upgraded, the furnace and outdoor AC compressor cleaned, and even a couple of light fixtures and ceiling fans replaced. Rick is thorough, friendly, efficient, transparent, and very patient when it comes to explaining the how's and why's of what he's doing to a customer who really knows nothing about electrical. I will absolutely use him again for any and all of my electrical needs, and feel 100% confident in referring him to friends and family."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.

Ceiling fans are very often worth the investment because they improve comfort in your living space and help reduce utility bills. In the late spring and early fall—and even in the summer in some areas—homeowners with ceiling fans can often get away with open windows and fans, which can cut down on cooling bills and also reduce wear and tear on the HVAC system. Over time, ceiling fans can pay for themselves by saving you money on electric bills and air conditioner repair and maintenance.

Wood stove fans are designed to operate quietly, emitting only a subtle hum from their motor. This low noise level ensures minimal disruption in your living space, allowing you to enjoy the warmth without distraction. The fan blades, which are engineered for efficient air circulation, contribute to the overall quiet operation. This makes wood stove fans a practical choice for maintaining a peaceful environment while effectively distributing heat throughout your room or home.

Once you remove all standing water and puddling, you should run fans for 24 to 48 hours to remove the remaining moisture. For severe water damage, it’s a good idea to run them for three to four days to be safe. Make sure you buy or rent the proper size and number of fans for your water-damaged area.

While it may seem like it makes sense to put a fan in the attic to cool it down, it won’t be as effective as installing attic fans. Ventilation installed near the peak of the roof, whether passive (just allowing heat to escape) or active (drawing the air up and out) will be more effective at cooling the attic.
