"My hot tub was smoking! I went on line to search for a repair man. I found Sierra and based on the testimonials chose them for my repair needs. I placed a call that was promptly returned. Ron took the time to hear the issues and expressed concern even empathy that this could be a major repair. We set up an appointment and he was there when he said he would be. Ron walked me through the issues and options and answered extensive questions.. I also needed a hot tub cover so took the measurements and ordered in for me. As soon as the new motor and blower came in (yeah, I had a big problem) he called and completed the repair. I could not have asked for a better experience. The old adage that you get what you pay.... when Ron leaves you know that you paid for a repair that was done right and you were treated with utmost respect. Ron is a professional who still puts the customer in customer service. Not only do I have a hot tub that is like new, I have the confidence that it is fixed correctly and if there is an issue he will make it right. That is a good feeling and not one that is common in today's business world. I highly recommend Sierra Pool and Spa. If I need repair services again for either the hot tub or pool, I would not hesitate to contact Sierra."

"We added a patio enclosure to part of our deck area at a country house that we own. The experience was extraordinary from the minute that we met with Andrew Mulichak, our design consultant, through to the completion of the project. At the point that we signed the contract, a completion estimate of 10 weeks was given. Three weeks after we signed the contract, we received a call that the patio enclosure was ready to be installed. The install team took a half day to get the site ready, and then 1.5 days to complete the project. We absolutely love the end result and it came out even better than what we thought when we signed the contract. The advantage of working with Patio Enclosures is that this is their primary business activity and they control the entire supply chain. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend them for any type of comparable project."

"Have a small landing off a 1st floor slider on back porch. What I thought would be a simple job finding someone knowledgeable to replace turned into a very frustrating experience as literally there was no interest in the small simple job that would take a few hours. While I understood it was a small job I hoped whomever performed the work understood this was a test run to develop a relationship for not just the small landing but for future projects, more involved, more expense, etc. The only other two bids were hopeless, the 1st from a very highly regarded subcontractor overbid by ~ 100%, the 2nd, also highly regarded was more reasonable but seemed to fall to pieces when I requested #1 treated lumber. I had given up except, Home Advisor kept checking back periodically to see if the project had been completed. Last October ('14) they put me in touch w/"Betterliving". It was like a breath of fresh air & went as simply as imagined & furthermore "Betterliving" exhibited a quality all noted all to rarely these days... Integrity. When I 1st met w/Betterliving I was jaded from previous two experiences, however, I was immediately set @ ease by the knowledge, prior understanding of project scope, fair pricing & commitment to finished product exhibited. As I explained what I wanted, the salesman produced a sketch that was indicative of my wishes. He quoted me a very reasonable price including the quality of lumbar. He indicated an ~ date for installation. The builder came as indicated & did the job. He ran about an hour late b/c the lumbar yard where he eventually found the lumber was ~ 30 min + out of the way, one way. After installation there was an issue or two that the salesman & installer freely admitted was a miscommunication between them. Within a few days of bringing issue to their attention, Betterliving returned & fixed those issues I was concerned with, within an hour or less. I suppose time will tell but based on the subcontractors who bid this job as well as others who've worked in our home I would rank Betterliving @ the top of the list. Their commitment to customer satisfaction & 2 yr written warranty assuring quality of the work itself is very refreshing."

Customers say: Quick response

"They built a 1600 sq ft home for me and done a fantastic job from start to finish. Attention to detail and communication was the very best. They have also done some remodel work for me on my flip houses, also installed a new roof on a different home. I would highly recommended Darrin and his crew to anyone!"

"I and my wife wanted to turn our 3rd. garage into a family/ media room. Mike has years of experience and had excellent ideas that coincided with our vision of how we wanted the project to look upon completion. His attention to details is what convinced us to go with Mike and his crew. The room turned out to be a beautiful addition to our home. You can't even tell that it used to be a garage. Mike and his guys always showed up when they said they would. They always cleaned up after working. We are so happy with the work and the results of the room if we could give him a rating of 10 instead of a 5 we would."

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.
