"After having a big reputable company, In Springfield come out and tell me it was my circuit breaker and panel and it would cost $3000. I wanted to try someone else. I tried Victory Electrical and I was very satisfied. They told me nothing was wrong with my panel and it was not dangerous. They got to checking other things and it was nothing but a loose wire in one of our electrical outlets. Total cost $70. That’s much better than 3000! They are very trustworthy. They came on time. they went above and beyond what most companies would do. They were polite and knew exactly what they were talking about. Very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them for your electrical needs. They are fair, honest and much cheaper than all the big ones companies."

Small jobs welcome

"Excellent experience from start to finish. They installed a dog door, a bathroom exhaust fan, and a couple ceiling fans, and everything was completed professionally and with great attention to detail. They showed up on time, kept the work area clean, and made sure everything worked perfectly before leaving. The pricing was fair, communication was excellent, and the quality of the workmanship exceeded my expectations. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable home improvement services"

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.

Hiring an electrician to install a new ceiling fan may be the best course of action. Installing a ceiling fan requires basic electrical and mechanical knowledge. It also requires holding it up with one hand and in an awkward position, making the installation even more difficult. If you’re uncomfortable with these circumstances, your best bet is to hire a professional.

Yes, ceiling fans come with a few other features that help with function, style, and convenience. Multi-speed fans can give you specialized control over the airflow. Consider getting one with an integrated light to save ceiling space. Some ceiling fans come with a remote control that enables you to change direction without climbing a ladder. Of course, you can also consider installing a wall switch to enjoy that convenience.

Many ceiling fan mounts feature a design that can accommodate slight slopes by using a ball joint mechanism at the end of the downrod. If your ceiling has a steeper slope than your fan allows for, you can install a downrod that will allow your fan to safely hang below the slope.

There’s no reason why you can’t install a ceiling fan anywhere in your home, such as in living rooms, offices, bedrooms, and dining areas. Most bathrooms already have ventilation and don’t need a ceiling fan. For safety purposes, avoid installing a ceiling fan where the blades will be less than eight feet from the floor, near bunk beds, or anywhere else they may hit nearby objects.
