"Dave started working with us when we really didn't know what we wanted and he helped us formulate the design and change the arrangement. It took a while (our fault) due to picking out stone, colors, etc. However, once we started, things went smooth and Dave was very particular about the details. We made several changes from the initial concept to the design including upgrades in the cabinets and stone. He was there suggesting the little things that really improved the overall project. Price was listed as a B - however Dave has good contacts and does direct dealings to keep his prices affordable for the consumer. The B rating came from the stone and should not be a reflection on Dave's work (just overall price of the project). The stone for the countertop was difficult for us (were are particular) and finding the right stone took time and several wholesalers. These companies would only give a grade and the fabricator had to provide the price. Several times we were told one grade at the wholesaler and a different grade for the same stone at the fabricator. Again, This was out of Dave's hands however wanted others to be aware to plan for their project. Just to level set everyone, for those looking at granite we picked a stone that was an "F" (prices start as grade A and increase from there). Overall he not only gave us a great kitchen, when the wife talked about other projects he suggested ideas and comments to help us from where to go to how to approach it if I wanted to do it. Overall project consisted of Consultation, Design, Demo, Caprentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Cabinetry, Tile, Molding and Countertops."

"If you don't hire Paul for your custom cabinet design and install, you are making a mistake. When we started this project, we were looking at store bought cabinet from several different places. Paul convinced me to give him a shot on custom cabinets versus the big box store. At first I was not on board with custom cabinets because of the cost I had always been told was very high. Paul was at our home when he said he was going to be. He is a low key guy, but professional. He listened to my wife and all the ideas that she had and offered some of his own, based on his experience and expertise. We had gathered pictures of what we wanted and different ideas and he was very sure that he could meet our expectations. He said originally that it would take about 5 to 6 weeks to get the cabinets built and installed, and only took a week longer because we were not going to be there the week he was going to be able to get it installed. We set a date, I demoed the kitchen myself to a point and Paul came when he said he would be there and performed the remaining demo. He installed the cabinets in a very short time. The quality of the cabinets he built is really better than I had expected, and so much better than any store bought cabinet we had looked at, there is really no comparison. The granite guy who came in said that he could tell they were really good. I don't know how to say it best, but Paul and his guys were a pleasure to work with. The quality and craftsmanship is top notch and best of all, my wife is beside herself with joy at the beautiful cabinets. "This is Paul's second project at our home.  His first project was the laundry room (which was really a test run at who we would hopefully hire for the larger kitchen project).  Paul stayed true to his bid and was easy to work with on minor changes.  Major changes were negotiated and Paul was fair to work with.  In the days of CAD (computer aided design) we were stretched outside of our comfort zone with Paul's hand drawn designs.  We were confident that he had what we were looking for... but had we not had the positive experience in the laundry room we NEVER would have been able to take the leap on such a large project.   That said, we are so happy that we did.  The benefit of using Paul was he could easily incorporate changes that many of the large firms would struggle with.  The best example of this was the custom fireplace mantel that Paul did.  Originally the mantel was going to be a separate piece; however, after the cabinets were in (and before the mantel was made) we asked him to make it look like it all went together...and he did.  
After the cabinets were done, we hired Paul to do all of the trim work in the home.  We did not want the standard "big box" base moulding and trim.  Paul custom made all of the trim and moulding in the areas we renovated.  It looks great.
My wife is a self proclaimed neat freak.  Paul kept the site clean and overall did a nice job keeping the mess to a minimum.  Paul has an easy going laid back personality and was easy to work with.  He was consistent about laying blankets and mats to protect the new hardwood floors.
