I am a Journeyman Union Carpenter by trade but after 15 years left it to pursue other things. I have had rental properties and done hundreds of property rehabs and remodels over the years. I have a working knowledge of plumbing and electrical and I take pride in my work. I also rehab and refinish antique wood furniture and build custom furniture out of old wood and recycled materials. No job is too small and I enjoy meeting all the people that this kind of work leads me too.

It’s often limited in color selection. If you’re painting a low-traffic area, such as a closet, ceiling paint might work in an absolute pinch. But for most walls, it’s worth using a more durable, wall-specific formula.

Metal is finicky, particularly when exposed to the elements. In other words, you should always prime your metal garage door before laying down paint. Primer not only helps the paint stick to the metal, but it also prevents rust from bleeding through. If you already have some rust and want to avoid it peeking out, cover the spots with a zinc chromate primer.
