"Joe Gendre was very professional and accommodating. I thought my porch light was bad. He searched until he figured it was the switch. Very polite. He moved some jobs around and what was supposed to be next week service became next day. The lights were out in the bedrooms and bathrooms and for an old lady like me is quite unnerving. Turned out the breaker in the panel was bad and he had to go get one since he didn't have one one his truck.I thought he would be back the next week when he had one. But again to my surprise he went and got one and came right back. I expected to pay at least 25%more and was pleasantly surprised, again, at the out come. I have already given his card to my friend across the street. Thank you for your excellent service Joe. I know this job was not a big one but he treated it like it was."

"Great experience with Flame Tech. George was knowledgeable and responsive. He provided an accurate estimate over email based on a number of photos and a few phone conversations which streamlined the bid process considerably. They replaced my AC in a few hours for a fair price and educated me on other safety considerations related to my furnace. He also helped me diagnose a rattle in my air ducts that would have given me fits. Good price, know-how, and customer service, I would use Flame Tech again."

"Contact was made with Jason and he met with me for a free estimate of what work I wanted performed.. Jason and Chris were hired to service the Furnace and to install new H&A ducts underneath the house. Other work performed by the guys was replacing old and leaking waterlines underneath the house, and hauling away all the old ducts. Hauling an old Heating and Air unit on the side of the house, and doing some mason work to cover the hole. Installing a section of chain link fence and gate. Troubleshooting and replacing an electrical switch in the storage shed. Unclogging and replacing a waterline underneath my bathtub and installing a new shower head and fixtures. Also, repairing a leaking toilet bowl and replacing a rotting section of floor underneath..... Overall, the boys were excellent in their knowledge and work performance. They were easy to talk too and their work ethics was superb... I would without a doubt hire them again should and when the need arise..."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, through thorough cleaning and inspection, optimizing functionality, and reducing energy use.

Both evaporator coils and condenser coils are recyclable and contain valuable, sellable metals such as copper and aluminum. Not only is it more earth-friendly to take them to a local metal recycling facility, but you can also trade them in for cash. Also, once the coils are removed from the system, they won’t have any traces of refrigerant, so you won’t have to arrange for recycling Freon or R-410A unless you’re disposing of the entire AC system.

The cost of annual maintenance depends on the type of HVAC system you have. AC service typically costs an average of $200 but ranges from $100 to $550. If your system needs repairs, the price will vary significantly depending on what needs fixing. However, addressing the issues as they arise can prevent further damage to your unit and keep it operating efficiently for much longer.

If your home has an existing forced-air heat system, you can add a central air conditioner to it. An HVAC technician can retrofit your forced-air heating system by installing an evaporator coil onto the furnace plenum, the box next to the furnace that draws in air. Once installed, the air conditioning coils use the furnace’s blower to circulate the air.

If you’re looking for an energy-efficient heating and cooling system to heat a compact to average-sized home, then a ductless system is absolutely worth considering. The installation is less hassle when compared to a ducted heat pump system, and because your electricity bills should drop, it’s an excellent long-term investment.
