"The BATH UPSTAIRS   had a window that needing bracing, a bath that had black mold behind the horrible VINYL wall, and had to be insulated with MOISTURE proof materials and RE-TILED - the walls, under the window and behind the tub and around the laundry chute opening.  The Downstairs Bath also needed the window braced and tiled as it was falling and splitting from the ceiling due to POOR WORKMANSHIP by someone NOT on Angies List back in 2003!!   SO, Siding Repair Systems -  They did it all, with their contractor Thomas Morton.  What a really fantastic job - on BOTH these Bathroom windows, Tiling and securing/supporting.  EXCELLENT WORK!!  Clean and neat - it looked like they had a MAID SERVICE come in and clean up after them.  Honestly.  So neat and clean they were.  Thanks for a Really good job.   "

I bought a chimney sweep big deal and it went well. It cost more than the price of the big deal due to the repairs they made. The guys that did it were just a little bit weird. They were kind of socially awkward. They had some difficulties communicating.

"Al and his partner were setup and working within 10 minutes of getting to our house. What I appreciate about Al is that he notices little things that need to be done and just does them (recaulking the bathtub when he was working in the bathroom, using left over concrete patch from the foundation to fill in a spot in the driveway that was broken) - simple stuff that adds little or nothing to the bill but tells me he's paying attention and that he cares. I have had Al work on several projects now, and to be honest, I don't even bother calling anyone else.

We live in an older house, so we were quite concerned about lead safety as well as minimizing paint fume exposure for my wife and newborn. He took our concerns seriously and talked us through a variety of options to find something that worked for us. He was kind, responsive, and moved quickly to keep us on schedule. When we had notes or changes, he was quick to address them. There were a few aspects of the finish that weren't as polished as we hoped, but overall he was great to work with. I have always been a do it you selfer -having built my over sized garage, revised the house roof line to replace a flat roof over a family room and added large addition to the existing house.  I had several maintenance items I needed done but at age 81 things are a little harder. So I joined Angie;s list to find a quality tested contractor.  I picked  A Good Guy  from the monthly St. Louis listing.  I contacted Bill Clifton and asked him to come by and look at my projects .He  arrived promptly at the appointed time.  Was easy to talk to and very professional.  He took photos of the areas needing work.  Said he would get back with on estimates for

the work.  He responded promptly with reasonable dollar estimates for the projects. We set a date for each activity. He and his crew showed up and started working.  The siding work was done first 

, then the rebuild of 16 feet of privacy fence and then the soffit replacement...The work quality was excellent (they did what I would have done if I were younger)  The crew was very professional.  Clean up was also excellent.  I plan to us A Good Guy for any future needs.
