"Matt did an outstanding job installing a 4 wire 220vac receptacle for our new kitchen range. He even went to the trouble to pick up, at my request a 4 wire cord to install on my old range. Now we can use the old range until the new one is delivered. He does great work will be using him again in the near future."

"I did have Davis & Son repair my Heating system and they did a very good job. When I called to have them install a gas line (about 10 feet), they were going to get back to me with a quote and timeline. That was a month ago - nothing. I called and had another firm complete the work in 3 hours. Disappointed that they never called back."

"Michael at Eagle Electric was on time, and communicated well. Booking and scheduling was easy and he did a great job hanging our lights and ceiling fan. He even made sure he went over our options on the heights of our fixtures as they were hanging by chains. We ended up changing the heights compared to the previous fixtures. Great experience."

"Ed did an excellent job installing my new ceiling fan. He arrived on time, was pleasant and professional, and completed the project of installing my ceiling fan, as well as its wall control switch and dimmer for my existing LED lights. The bronze Minka Aria fan looks excellent and was the ideal match for our living area, offering ample air circulation. I also wanted to replace two construction-grade light fixtures in my laundry room, which he was able to do—now my laundry room looks much nicer and brighter. He explained everything he did throughout the entire procedure, which I very much appreciated, and also repaired earlier installation workmanship, which was needed. Will definitely hire him again for any electrical work."

"My kitchen was old and outdated. Joe came and gave me some amazing suggestions based on my budget. He repainted my cabinets and they looked brand new! He removed my old countertops and created a butcher block counter from scratch. He also added tiles to the backsplash area and all the way around the sink and counters as well. Installed a new garbage disposal and replaced the wood under the sink where I had a leak. Then he painted the kitchen walls and the ceiling. He was so professional and went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. I could not believe the outcome and how much bigger the kitchen looked. I will continue to use him for all my future projects!!"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

A whole-house fan works best to pull chilled and dry air into your home in the early morning hours and at night. This system allows you to close your windows after turning off the fan and trap the cool air inside. You can run your whole house fan continuously for maximum ventilation and fresh air, or you can turn it on for ten minutes or so at a time to introduce cool, fresh air as needed.

For a 12x12 room, a fan between 36" and 50" will work, as it falls in the range for spaces up to 144 square feet. These size fans provide adequate air circulation and ensure a comfortable environment without being overpowering. Even better, they come in a broad range of styles, offering aesthetics and functionality, making them suitable choices for maintaining an ideal room temperature and enhancing overall comfort.

While ceiling fans shouldn’t get loose over time, they still can—especially if they’re installed incorrectly. A wobbling or tilted ceiling fan can shift the screws out of place, causing it to loosen and become a fall risk. It’s important to tighten screws and balance blades as soon as you notice that they’re misaligned or uneven to prevent the ceiling fan from loosening further and becoming a hazard.

Selecting the right size wood stove fan depends on the size of your stove and the room it heats. Larger stoves or rooms may benefit from fans with larger or multiple blades, as these can move more air efficiently. Consider the fan's specifications and airflow capacity to match it with your stove's heat output for optimal performance.

Solar attic fans work in winter, but they serve a different purpose than they do in summer. During the colder months of the year, these fans improve air circulation within your attic, which helps remove condensation and moisture to prevent mold growth and protect your insulation and the structure of your home.
