However, if it just went dormant, you still have a chance to revive your lawn once drought conditions have passed. Follow proper lawn care practices after a drought to try and get your lawn back to its healthy, green self.

While hydroseeding is designed for bare soil, it is possible to apply it over an existing lawn with certain adjustments. To hydroseed over existing grass, first mow the lawn as low as possible, then loosen and clear any exposed soil.
