"Overall, I love how David and his 2 crew members came and installed great quality product in my backyard. The project took about 3 days from start to complete. I love the way they took their time and make sure it was done right. They did a good job on clean up when the job done. It looked awesome and now I can enjoy watching my dog run around and gave us more privacy. If you are looking for someone to do your fence, I highly recommend get a quote from Gold Fence LLC and I am sure David, the owner will try to come up with a good overall price for you. "From filling out the online for to inquire, to the estimate, to the actual work being done was lightning fast. I was contacted the day after filling a form. They sent an estimator to my home quickly. They provided a detailed estimate for the fence as well as plans for me to look over and approve. The estimate for install after I approved their quote was 4-5 weeks out, which would have put us to June 22 for install. They contacted me about a week PRIOR to that date to see if they could install sooner! It was moved up by about 5 days and we could not be happier with it. The fence itself is cedar, was installed within a few hours. The installers were friendly. They explained what they were doing, how the latch in the gate worked, and made sure I had no other questions prior to leaving the jobsite. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. From first contact through completion, I felt well taken care of. The work is quality, the people friendly, and service was excellent"

Wrought Iron questions, answered by experts

When looking at natural wood fences, you have several options other than cedar, namely: pine and redwood. Compared to cedar, redwood fencing has a deeper, red-brown color, better durability, and a higher price tag. Pine, on the other hand, is one of the most affordable types of wood for fences, but it requires the most maintenance out of the three and has the shortest lifespan.

Wood, vinyl, chain link, and aluminum are common materials. Choose based on durability, maintenance needs, and aesthetics.

You can buy wrought iron fencing from a trusted fence installation company near you. You could also opt to buy it privately from a homeowner who is interested in recycling their own wrought iron materials. Manufacturers stopped mass production of wrought iron as steel became more affordable to produce, so you likely won't find it in any local big box stores.

While many fence companies and fence material retailers refer to their metal fencing as wrought iron fencing, most of it is actually ornamental wrought iron fence. This means that the fence is made to look like traditional wrought iron but is actually made out of either steel or aluminum. Old wrought iron fences typically found at estate sales or on older properties are much heavier and much more prone to rust than the ornamental wrought iron that newer homes and fences use.

The average cost to install a fence is between $1,800 and $4,500. However, the price can vary significantly based on several factors. For a small DIY project, costs could be as low as $450, while fencing a large property like a 5-acre yard can exceed $43,000. Key factors that influence the total cost include the fence's size and height, the material used, the complexity of the design, site preparation needs, and any additional features like gates. The cost of raw materials, manufacturing, and custom fabrication can also impact the final price.
