Customers say: Quality work

"Mr. Bylers did our cabinets and island for a large kitchen remodel about 7 years ago. The quality is top notch. Mr. Byler is a consummate professional and amazing cabinet maker. You will not be disappointed! Very highly recommend. We downsized this year and the hardest part was leaving the kitchen. We may remodel the kitchen we now have, if we decide to we will definitely use them again."

"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"I had a specific deadline to get this room ready for company, and not only was that deadline met—it was finished earlier than I anticipated, which was fantastic. Communication was excellent throughout, especially when it came to setting up my desk and hanging pictures of various sizes. I truly couldn’t recommend them enough. Attached is just a small fraction of the assistance provided—tasks that would have taken me hours without this help. Thank you!!!"

"The carpenters with Capo Designs are master craftsmen. I had been told by numerous carpenters that they were not able to make a cabinet door that matched my cabinetry. Well these woodworkers did not hesitate in saying that they could complete my job! The contours of the cabinet door are an EXACT match. They did a beautiful job with matching the type of wood and the stain and finish are a perfect match! They were VERY friendly, competent, and went the extra mile to make sure that I was pleased with the job. I would definitely refer Alex and Francisco for any woodworking job."

"Ours was a minor remodel (basically new lower cabinets & counter top) rather than a strip to the studs & redesign entire area.  We were looking for competing bids - unfortunately (?) Paul's advice/suggestions/estimates  were very much inline with another who we had done business with before - otherwise we would definitely have used Paul Young.  Our time spent with Paul - although short - was a positive experience.

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

If you’re brave enough to tackle building your own cabinet bases, you’re brave enough to install them yourself. You’ll need a stud finder to get you started, but the installation will be a breeze if you’ve already done all the hard work to build the cabinet bases yourself. If you’re hanging upper cabinets, you’ll need a helper, though, to balance the weight of the cabinets and make the process easier.

Deciding whether to buy or build a kitchen island depends primarily on two things: your budget and your plans for the island. If you need a working sink or electrical access, you’re safest going with a custom unit. If not, look into a prefabricated unit.

The cost to install a kitchen island ranges from $900 to $6,500, with an average price of around $4,800. The final cost depends on whether you buy a prefabricated unit or have one custom-built. Prefabricated kitchen islands are generally cheaper. A simple prefabricated cart can cost between $150 and $900, while a permanent, stationary prefabricated island costs from $900 to $5,000. A custom-built kitchen island averages around $4,800 but can cost $10,000 or more depending on factors like materials, size, design complexity, and accessibility.

There are three primary ways to attach upper kitchen cabinets to a wall, and installers may use more than one method at a time. The most common method is to drive screws through the back of the cabinets and into studs in the wall behind. Sometimes cabinets are glued to the wall with strong adhesive. Often a combination of screws and adhesive is desirable. The last way is by hanging the cabinets on hardware brackets that attach to the wall before cabinet installation.

If your cabinets don’t reach the ceiling, you can extend them higher, adding visual interest, privacy, and storage space to your kitchen. Depending on the height of your ceiling, you may want to extend the structure of the cabinets and install longer doors to make each individual cabinet taller, or you could add additional cabinets above the existing ones. Either option is cheaper and easier than installing entirely new cabinets.
