"Archway came, did the inspection, cleaned out the chimney, and of course they recommended to re grout the inside of the fireplace. They also recommended to install a new cap on the chimney and apply some sort of concrete covering sort of stuff on the top of the chimney to protect it. I'm not particularly surprised they recommended some new work to be done due to the age of the fireplace and chimney. I was surprised how reasonably priced the additional recommendations were. Usually when you get a contractor on site and they are inspecting things and making new recommendations, you might feel like you are getting played. But I feel like $600 is a small price to pay for the feeling of confidence that the fireplace is safe to use. They were in and out all in the same day, even with the additional work. They paid great attention to protecting the living room from the chimney sweeping dust."
