That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"It's true: working with Hal is not like working with other contractors. With Hal, you are developing a relationship, not fulfilling the terms of a contract. For some that might be more than they want out of a contractor. For me, it was exactly what I needed. Example: I was talking with Hal about another matter when we both happened to notice some rotting boards on our deck. I thought it was unsightly, but nothing serious. Hal persuaded me that, without immediate attention, the rot would spread to the joists underneath, and what was a small problem now would be a big problem later. "Jared responded promptly to my request for a bid to paint the ceilings and walls in 2 bedrooms. He gave me a few dates he was available and that helped me coordinate with my carpet installation. The crew of 2 came in and quickly got to work prepping. They sprayed the ceilings first and while that dried went to get the paint colors for the wall. One room was done by the time they left day 1. The second day they came back to put a second coat on other room and the closets. They cleaned up great both days! Jared even offered to come back and touch up if I needed it after the carpet was installed (thankfully I didn't need to take him up on that). I will definitely be using them again the next time we have a painting project!"
