We're very grateful for the extra time he took to make sure we knew what to do to minimize the risk. And the gentleman who did the blowout was very professional and explained the ice risk well. "We used Beds and Borders for the front steps and surrounding landscape. The way the original steps had been ‘encased’ within the retaining walls made the area impossible to shovel, so in winter the front door was either inaccessible or it was dangerously slippery to reach. Andy and Jesse came up with a gorgeous design that was more of a gentle pathway with landings instead of a standard staircase. It’s surrounded by native plantings and access paths to other areas of the yard. It’s so beautiful! They listened to what we were looking for and took into account our personal preferences on even small things. The crew was great about answering questions I had as the process moved along, and they also checked in with me if they had questions. On top of the excellent end product, the ‘business’ side was also great. Communication, schedule, cost—all as we initially discussed. I don’t hesitate to recommend them and would absolutely hire them again."

After stripping the deck there were a few more boards where some rotting was identified and Barak and his team replaced them promptly. Stain looks great and made an immediate difference. I had been contemplating if my 20 year old deck was too far gone and needed replacing... but after seeing what Barak could do with stripping the old paint off, replacing some bad boards, and staining... I'm very glad I chose to do this rather than replacement."
