"Well it took some time for them to get out there because we had lots of rain that week, but when they showed up, they were great, I cant believe they even took the time to do a little shed for me that was not even in the quote, and did not charge me for it, they said they felt bad because the rain kept delaying them but that was not there fault, wow what a professional company, you don't see guys like Mr. Moss anymore you could tell his work is very important to him....."

Wood siding requires that air can circulate behind it and that water can drain away if necessary. Your home needs a water-restrictive barrier underneath furring strips to achieve the air and water gap.

Siding is one of your home’s first lines of defense against extreme weather. If you fail to repair or replace your damaged siding, your home is exposed to wind, snow, and rain—all of which can cause structural damage. You may only need to repaint fiber cement siding every decade or so, but you should clean it every six to 12 months, depending on your local climate. First, wash with a garden hose or similar low-pressure device (not a high-pressure washer, which can damage the material) to remove dirt and any large debris. Then, gently wipe down the surface with a soft brush or cloth in a side-to-side motion, following the grain of the fiber cement.

Little maintenance is required beyond periodic washing with a garden hose to remove dirt. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or pressure washers that might damage the siding.

Composite siding is very resistant to warping that can affect some other sidings. Because of its composition, this siding doesn’t have the same risks of moisture damage that can cause rotting, buckling, and warping. Composite material doesn’t warp in high temperatures the way some kinds of vinyl siding can.

That said, composite siding is not entirely immune from moisture damage. It should still be properly installed so that moisture can properly drain from behind the siding, and protected by eaves and clean gutter so the siding doesn’t get repeatedly soaked by rain, which could lead to damage.
