"One structure in the form of a arbor with a gate completed our fence.
The other structure a small deck outside of the lower sliding glass doors, with a pergola added,
gives a quiet shady respite to the yard.
We also had Hal design and build a fountain feature added to the garden area itself.  Which gives a soft
and flowing water sound near the small deck.
The work overall is outstanding with a very finished look.  It was also accomplished as per estimate of
time and cost.  They were very considerate to make the work space neat and clean each day at finish
       time.

We would "highly" recommend these contractors to anyone wanting this type of excellent yard work done.

"Amanda and Chris did an amazing job doing an emergency cleaning for a house appraisal for us. They made sure everything was done on time, took great care with our things, and were extremely pleasant to work with. I would recommend them for any home project. They even worked with us on a price we could afford and it was absolutely worth every penny. I can't thank them enough!!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

In Long Prairie, cosmetic fencing projects focus on enhancing curb appeal with decorative styles and finishes that suit local architecture. Functional fencing, however, emphasizes strength for livestock, privacy, or wildlife deterrence, using weather-resistant materials to withstand Minnesota’s climate. Functional projects also require careful planning around underground utilities, property lines, and access points, especially on rural or uneven properties.

Helpful?

Quality fencing in Long Prairie is evident when posts are set well below the 42-inch frost line with secure concrete, and lines remain straight even on sloped ground. Durable hardware suited for Minnesota winters should be used, and the site should be left clean. Confirm that all required permits were obtained, inspections completed, and that you receive a clear warranty covering both materials and workmanship.

Helpful?

Longevity of fencing in Long Prairie depends on posts set below the frost line to prevent shifting, materials chosen for resistance to temperature swings and moisture, and designs that withstand strong winds. Proper drainage and attention to local soil types are key. Regular seasonal maintenance and hiring professionals familiar with Long Prairie’s unique climate and wildlife challenges will help ensure your fence lasts.

Helpful?

As a Long Prairie homeowner, you’ll need to verify property boundaries, assist with permit paperwork, and select materials that match your goals and the local environment. You’ll decide on gate placement, style, and utility marking before installation. During the project, you’ll coordinate site access and approve any changes. Afterward, registering warranties and planning for seasonal upkeep will protect your investment.

Helpful?

When comparing quotes in Long Prairie, be wary of contractors who avoid discussing local soil conditions or frost line requirements, as proper post depth is crucial here. Unusually vague or low quotes may indicate shortcuts on materials or labor. Always request proof of insurance, a detailed written contract, and ask about experience with Long Prairie’s climate and permit process to ensure compliance and durability.
