Anyhow, they told me things that I did not understand about how it was illegal to have low profile tires on my car. I bought the car used a few years prior and when I had routine maintence done I was never told anything about this. But this man had my keys and would not give them to me unless I paid $45 first. I had $50 left for the whole week to buy food and gas for work. He made me pay $45 and there was nothing I could do about it. Had there been a problem with my car, I would have gone to them to fix it but after this visit I knew they were crooks. They did this service without my permission and I will never forget this visit. I cried after and I will never in my life go back to that place. I have told everyone I know about that place and want to spread the message. People who work hard for their money and depend on mechanics for help should never be taken advantage of. In some ways, a vehicle is directly related to livelyhood when you use it to take kids to school, get to work, appts, etc... That is why getting ripped off by Wholesale Tire is ethically wrong and I cannot erase it from my memory.

I had made the mistake of hiring a different tree service from out of town, that came to my door, as they had been working for other neighbors earlier in the week. I did not check Angie's List first as I should have. Needless to say, the other company did not finish the job ( after I paid them ) and I was left with a real mess. A giant tree left laying in my front yard in chunks too large to move with an ox. I saw the Logs and Limbs trucks working down the block at a neighbors home. I stopped and spoke with Jay and his crew and told him of my dilemma. They were just finishing up at my neighbors and said they would stop by and take a look. After surveying what needed to be done, Jay unloaded his Bobcat and removed all the big pieces while his crew started to work on the large stump with their chainsaws. They had the giant tree and stump cut, everything cleaned up and loaded up in about the time it took me to type this. I truly wish I would have done my research and hired them in the first place. While they were here, I had asked Jay to look at 3 other trees that I needed removed for a quotation. This work would require a crane due to the location of the trees and proximity of my garage and shed. Logs and Limbs price quote was VERY reasonable for that work based on other quotes I had received previously. I WILL be hiring them to perform that work when my finances permit. The neighbor whose house they were working at when I stopped today owns several rental properties and told me that Jay has been doing all her tree work for many years and had nothing but praise for their work and service. She heard my story and said, and quot; You should have talked to me first.and quot; I should mention also that Logs and Limbs took the time to take care of my problem immediately, between appointments. That kind of service is hard to come by now a days. Thanks to Jay and his crew I am back in good graces with my wife, and learned a hard lesson about hiring contractors. I would highly recommend Logs and Limbs.
Best regards,
Mike Tucker

Logs and Limbs service was outstanding. I had made the mistake of hiring a different tree service from out of town, that came to my door, as they had been working for other neighbors earlier in the week. I did not check Angie's List first as I should have. Needless to say, the other company...
A gas log fireplace should be inspected and serviced as needed once a year. Preventative maintenance can help keep your fireplace in working condition and save money in the long run by avoiding more costly repairs on parts that could have been fixed sooner with a regular inspection.
The cost difference between a gas fireplace and a wood-burning fireplace depends on the type of wood-burning fireplace installed. The cost to install a gas fireplace tends to be cheaper than the cost to install a brick wood-burning fireplace. Installing a gas fireplace costs about $3,600 on average, whereas the cost to build a masonry wood-burning fireplace can go up to $30,000. The cost to install a wood-burning fireplace insert or stove can cost from $700 to $6,500, about the same as a gas fireplace on average.
The cost to repair a fireplace depends on the type, extent of repairs needed, and your location. The average cost to repair a fireplace varies depending on the part of the fireplace that needs work:
Firebox: $160–$2,500
Refractory panel: $200–$300
Hearth: $150–$800
Mantel: $500–$1,200
Pilot light: $100–$350
Igniter: $100–$150
Gas valve: $150–$300
Thermocouple: $75–$350
Thermopile: $75–$350
Yes, it can be worth installing a gas fireplace, depending on your home heating needs. The cost to install a gas fireplace can be much lower than the cost to install a comparable wood-burning fireplace. The convenience of starting a fire with the flip of a switch and turning it off just as quickly makes a gas fireplace a big time saver over starting and maintaining a wood-fueled fire. A gas fireplace also does not require ash cleanup or frequent chimney cleaning to remove creosote and other buildup that can lead to chimney fires. Gas fireplaces burn and heat much more cleanly than wood fireplaces.
A gas fireplace insert costs about $3,600 to install, on average. The cost to install a gas log insert ranges from about $700 to $6,500, depending on the size, type of insert, how it works, and heating needs. Gas fireplaces need electrical and gas lines installed properly, so hiring a pro is recommended rather than trying to DIY installation.
