"Todd was referred to me from a friend that had quality work done for his historic home. We had just moved in and had Todd paint and do trim for three rooms for us. He was very professional, clean and considerate. He took the time going over what things we needed and we excluded what we didn’t need. We are a bit bummed he is done painting our house because he was fun to have around. We will definitely be hiring Todd with Angelus Painting again."

"I chose Mel to paint the interior of a vacant townhouse that i was putting on the market. He and his crew were available immediately and were able to complete the project in just a few days. Mel also took the time to point out other small maintenance tasks that would be beneficial to complete prior to listing the home, which was appreciated."

"Leon, Shana, and Leon’s brother removed popcorn from the ceilings in several rooms and hallways and painted several rooms. They did an excellent job and the rooms looked great when they finished. I am hiring them to paint and remove popcorn from ceiling in two remaining rooms. They are very pleasant, hard-working, reasonably priced, and trustworthy. One couldn’t ask for more. I highly recommend them."

"I saw the excellent job they did at our neighbor’s home. I asked if he would give me a bid. He promptly provided a fair bid and started on time as promised. His team did professional work, on time, clean (lead paint precautions), and meticulous. I will definitely use Bishop Painting for future projects!"

"Joel and his crew did a great job from start to finish. They consulted with me on the job, paint choice and length of time it would take. There price was very reasonable. The finished result is great! We are pleased with the outcome. They did a great job and I wouldn’t hesitate hiring them again."

"The team did an impressive job on the prep work filling holes, caulking, getting rid of hornet nests that I didn't even know existed, and pointed out an ant problem to me. I was impressed on their thorough preparation which is key for all good paint jobs. My house is 1970 with red wood siding, they took care on one side to add an extra coat because the wood is so dry and they wanted it to look even. Summer is busy and rain can cause delays so it took a little time to get them here, but that is to be expected with outdoor work and I was willing to be flexible with the timeline. The team was courteous and Dennis was very patient and helpful during the color picking phase. My house looks like new and I've had many compliments from neighbors. I would hire them again and recommend their work.

"The contractor communicated his work plan and did exactly what he said he would do. They were courteous and cleaned up work area every day with final cleanup when they finished. They even painted areas of the wall around the cabinets. The paint finish is really good and my wife and I are really satisfied with the way they look. Would I hire this company again? The answer is Definitely Yes!"

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

While some people are confident in their ability to replace concrete by drilling out the broken pieces and replacing them with bagged concrete, it’s possible to run into snags that make hiring a professional worth it. Trying to level concrete slabs can require special equipment, which can be pricey to rent and tough to operate. It's also crucial to contact your town's municipal office to ensure you are allowed to take on the project without a permit.

To layer wallpaper over wallpaper, inspect your existing wallpaper for problem areas. Damaged wallpaper should not be covered. If it’s okay to proceed, prep by turning off the electricity and removing any outlet and switch covers. Dust your walls and lightly rinse them to prevent the existing paper from peeling. Apply primer, then apply your new wallpaper.

When installing new steel doors, it’s smart to do other projects simultaneously. This can lower costs, limit mess, and help your home look and function better. For example, replacing a damaged doorframe is wise when planning door installations.

Also consider changing broken or worn-out locks, repairing or replacing weather stripping, and updating handles. Painting, staining, or upgrading the trim around the door can also improve energy efficiency, security, and aesthetics.

Darker walls may make tight bathrooms appear even smaller, but one dark accent wall can really make a bathroom pop. Wallpaper with a dark background can add intrigue and sophistication. Still, if you’re looking to open the room up and give it a modern, airy feeling, light colors may work best for your needs. Although there are some popular and unpopular opinions, there’s really no “should” when it comes to personal design choice.

Because replacing pool tiles requires fully draining your pool, it’s a great opportunity to complete other projects. You may want to replace your pool’s vinyl liner or repair cracks. You might also replace your swimming pool heater or even take on the cost of resurfacing your pool. Resurfacing, although relatively costly, can help prolong the lifespan of your pool.
