"Elliot and his crew did excellent work for us after a big storm, cutting up trees that had fallen across our road and cleaning up nicely before they left - fast, efficient, responsive, flexible and offered fair prices. I will definitely use them again, and recommend them enthusiastically to neighbors! Colin M., Deer River MN"

"Super friendly and great service. Took down a huge ash tree and removed it in an hour and a half! The price was way lower than any other quotes we received as well. Would definitely hire again or recommend to others. Becky W"

"She came she climbed and by the time I got home she was finishing it up. It was fairly quick and nothing got damage. They also gave me a lead on stump removal which was great cuz really had no idea where to even find people for that type of work cuz it's not like you have a hindering tree take down on a weekly basis or anything but yeah good job and thanks!"

Small jobs welcome

"Tree time is awesome when they remove a tree it doesn't even look like there was a tree over there unlike other companies who tear up your yard or leave behind a bunch of wood or a stump they make sure your yard is taken care of and all the tree debris is gone"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Trees provide many benefits, including shade, habitat for local wildlife, and cleaner air, so it’s always a good idea to try an alternative strategy like crown reduction before you chop one down. But sometimes, cutting down a tree is the only option (like if it’s severely diseased). A licensed arborist can assess the tree and recommend the best course of action.

There are a few instances in which removing a tree is the best option. You might do this if the tree looks to be a major danger—potentially falling onto your home, your car, or other parts of your property—or it’s diseased beyond repair. A tree that is growing too close to your house might need to be removed to prevent mold growth.

A tree can grow back from its stump, but full regrowth is unlikely (especially for more stubborn conifer trees). Instead, trees are more likely to send up a number of shoots from the dead stump, which will try to develop into primary stems over time. In other words, it will start to look increasingly bushy. The goal of killing and drying out a tree stump is to prevent that from happening, as well as make the stump easier to completely remove.

Tree pruning is a common and helpful tree maintenance technique that involves carefully cutting and trimming unwanted branches so that the tree can continue to grow and thrive. Pruning is done carefully and intentionally. Tree topping is a frowned-upon method that involves removing and cutting most or the entirety of the top of the tree, including structurally important branches.

The average lifespan of an oak tree is 100 to 300 years, so long as it isn’t impacted by diseases like sudden oak death. Some species will last shorter or longer, depending on where you live.
