"Christian and crew were great! I came in from out of town and my elderly Mom waited too long to get her many leaves picked up. Found CFH Exteriors on ANGI. Good, quick communication and responses. They did a good job and the price was reasonable. Will be using them again and calling in the spring for windows! What a Re-leaf 😆🍁 to get them done before the snow flies. Thank you CFH and highly recommend."

"I recently hired Andrew?s Lawn and Snow for snow removal services, and I am beyond impressed with the exceptional service they provided! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and stress-free. The team was punctual, arriving exactly when they said they would, and immediately got to work clearing my driveway and walkways. What stood out to me the most was their attention to detail. Not only did they clear the snow efficiently, but they also made sure to spread salt, preventing any ice buildup. The results were flawless?no more worrying about slippery patches or digging out from a snowstorm. Andrew?s Lawn and Snow made the entire process so convenient, and their customer service was top-notch. The crew was friendly, professional, and thorough, making sure everything was done to perfection. I highly recommend their snow removal services to anyone in need. They?re reliable, efficient, and truly take pride in their work!"

"After my Father's unexpected passing, my Mom has been left with all the house duties that her used to take care of for her. I decided to find a service to help for the winter with snow removal and I couldn't be happier with these guys. Every time it snows they come out to clear the snow automatically and they do a great job. I plan to have them help this summer with lawn mowing also."

"They cut off all of the branches that hung over my house and the dead branches. The salesman told me which branches should be removed, the man that cut them decided one of the branches that should have been cut off, shouldn't be because it looked better. That was in the fall, now that it's summer and the leaves are on the trees, that branch is hitting the boulevard tree. That was the reason it should have been cut off."

"These guys are amazing! I received a prompt response, and their snow removal, from my roof, was outstanding. I had some specific needs in the snow removal process and they exceeded my expectations. The service was exceptional, the workers were very nice, and they made ME smile! What a joy to watch them work with a smile on their faces and also, rightfully, take pride in their hard work. Chester and crew... THANK YOU! I would highly recommend this company! 5 stars (the best rating) all the way!"

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Natural ice melts can often get the job done without damaging concrete. You can try non-corrosive options such as kitty litter, alfalfa meal, coffee grounds, sugar beet juice, and heated snow-melting mats. While they may cause some staining, these natural melts are safe for concrete, pets, and the environment.

The best time to buy a snow blower is typically around May to early June. This is when most manufacturers introduce new models, and quantities are limited—once early summer rolls around, the focus shifts to lawn mower production. As the new models are released, you may find a wider selection of models, potential discounts or clearance sales on older models, and greater availability, ensuring you are well-prepared for the upcoming winter season.

Removal typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour per item, depending on accessibility and size.

The fastest and most effective way to remove snow, especially from a driveway, is by using a high-powered, two- or three-stage snow blower, which can clear an area in minutes. Other helpful options include a snow thrower, a wheelbarrow plow, and a leaf blower. If you need immediate assistance, consider hiring a professional snow removal service to handle the job for you.

When starting the engine, you typically leave the choke on a snowblower in the "choke" or "closed" position. After starting, let the engine run for a few minutes to warm up. Then, gradually open the choke, moving it to the "open" or "run" position, allowing more air into the engine and transitioning to a normal fuel-air mixture. The exact duration varies based on the snowblower model and ambient temperature, but as a general rule, you should open the choke once the engine has stabilized and runs smoothly, typically within a few minutes.
