"Terrific service and extremely responsive. Friendly removal guys who took care not to trample through the house with wet boots. They were very careful with removal of junk so as to not damage walls or other items. Highly recommend them!"

"Logan and Jeff came out immediately the next day and did a great job of not only removing large branches and fallen tree debris, but they also had to cut more of my willow tree down due to having split and would be unsafe in future wind storms. We also talked about doing future work in my yard. Will definitely hire them again. Again, thank you both for helping me with this project. 😃"

Waste Removal Services questions, answered by experts

While smaller appliances might fit in your trash bin, many municipalities and private waste collection companies prohibit throwing them away with your regular trash. Contact your trash collection service to learn how to dispose of old appliances properly. Some companies will pick your items up curbside for no charge or a minimal fee.

While abandoning a tank without treating it and following strict rules is illegal, there are several other ways to dispose of an old septic tank. One standard method is to pump out and crush the tank where it rests and bury it in the soil. Another is to remove it and transport it to a landfill. Finally, if abandonment is the best option, your contractor must pump out the tank and fill it with inert material, such as sand or concrete, depending on local regulations.

You can dispose of excess grout by allowing it to dry and then placing it in the trash. Do not rinse the tiles or allow the grout to enter waterways. For old, dry grout that you’ve never used, wet the bag so that it solidifies, and then toss it in the trash. If you’re removing grout from tile, simply throw it away. You can also reuse leftover grout if it hasn’t been mixed with water.

To break down fat in a septic tank, you will need to hire a professional septic tank cleaner near you to either pump the septic tank or use a shock treatment to clear the clog. It’s important to not pour fat, oil, or grease (memorable with the helpful acronym FOG) down your drains because they can clog the septic system. Instead, you can dispose of them with regular trash, or if your household produces a lot of FOG waste, you may want to install a grease trap for your plumbing.

Demolition is a project that involves heavy machinery, skilled labor, and hazardous waste removal. It can also take multiple weeks to complete. Plus, it’s a dangerous job. The machinery itself costs a lot of money, as does the time of the people who are operating that machinery (and the training they receive to do so safely). Certain hazardous materials, like asbestos, can cost up to $25 per foot for removal.
