"We needed post construction interior painting of the whole house. Brad was quick to respond, respectful, flexible in working with our schedule, fair in pricing and did an excellent job. Even after the project was done, he helped us out with post contractor fixes needed to the Sheetrock, etc. Would definitely use the services again and recommend to others!"

"I have a remodeling project on a kitchen, laundry room and bath room. The quality of the work is very good (smooth walls and knock down on the ceiling). They covered up the ceiling access by mistake but came back immediately and fixed it. I value their integrity and response on making sure the job was completed correctly and on time. I will use them again on any future projects I have."

"I was really happy with Justin and his team. For me this was a big job and involved a lot of money and a lot of moving parts. The ceiling texturing had been poorly done so removal was not as simple as scraping popcorn ceilings. The house had many different dark colored walls so the painting over them was not a simple task either. Justin is very meticulous and thorough and his crew is polite and determined to get everything just right. I can recommend them without any hesitation whatsoever."

"Tom first of all pressure-washed my home's entire exterior, then he recommended a special sealant to use before the paint job on the shake siding of my house - it worked great - all the paint work was excellent and the job was done quickly and professionally - He also did a large interior room and I noticed that he used brand-new equipment to do the job, which also turned out excellent - Tom is a good resource to know about for painting"

"Went very well. Tile work looks great and the entire job was done correctly.
Paul and his crew paid attention to detail, was honest and up front about the cost and timeline and came in slightly under budget and on-time. Work space was kept clean and orderly and minimized the impact to the home. Work site was cleaned up and organized at the end of each day.

Popcorn Ceilings questions, answered by experts

Textured ceilings add visual interest and personality to a room, breaking away from the flat, uniform look of smooth ceilings. They are also practical, as the texture helps to hide imperfections, making them ideal for older homes or spaces prone to wear and tear. Textured ceilings come in a variety of patterns, giving homeowners the flexibility to choose a style that complements their design preferences, whether they want something subtle or more intricate. Additionally, certain textures can help with sound absorption, making rooms quieter and more comfortable.

If your popcorn ceiling contains asbestos, you must hire a professional asbestos removal company to handle the disposal. If your popcorn ceiling does not have asbestos, you can call a popcorn ceiling removal specialist to handle the job. Otherwise, you can hire a drywall or painting professional to handle the job, depending on what you need done.

Small repairs or applications can be DIY projects, but removing older textures, especially with safety risks, is usually left to professionals.

Popcorn ceilings have fallen out of popularity due to their outdated appearance, difficult maintenance, and potential health risks. Ceilings installed before the 1990s may contain asbestos, which poses a serious health hazard if disturbed. As design trends have shifted towards sleeker, more modern finishes, many homeowners now favor smoother ceilings that offer a cleaner look and easier upkeep.

However, popcorn ceilings do offer some benefits, such as acoustic dampening and the ability to hide imperfections. Some people also appreciate their retro charm or find them to be a cost-effective option. Ultimately, whether a popcorn ceiling is 'bad' depends on personal preference, safety concerns, and the overall aesthetic of the home.

It depends on the type of texture you’re adding but yes, you can often use a roller to texturize a ceiling. The roller needs to be able to hold enough medium to create some relief on the ceiling but not so much that gravity will pull it off before it dries. Using a roller with a nap between ½” and ¾” will allow the roller to hold enough material to do the trick.
