We needed the seating area raised up 3 to 4 inches because it was getting hard for older people to stand up from the worn out and low seating. "As an alternative to buyinig all new kitchen cabinets, we went to Daren and had him "refresh" all the doors and drawer fronts to fill in small chips in the veneer and just gereally clean everything and buff everything out with several coats of tinted wax--and saved over $20K. They turned out great and would strongly recommend considering this if you have old, good quality wood-finish cabinets that you'd like to keep.
