"We thought we needed our foundation excavated, sealed and drain-tiled. Kevin came to estimate the work. He spent a full hour inspecting our foundation and landscaping and showed us the drain tile already in place and how the foundation appeared to be sealed. He recommended that we manually do a minimal amount of landscaping to improve the grade and even suggested a company to help with that. He did not request payment for his in depth consultation, but I asked to pay him for his time since he probably saved us $1000 to $3000 in excavation and landscaping costs. This is the second time Kev has really helped us out. Several years ago in a different house he helped us repair a truly cracked, leaking foundation. After stripping the deck there were a few more boards where some rotting was identified and Barak and his team replaced them promptly. Stain looks great and made an immediate difference. I had been contemplating if my 20 year old deck was too far gone and needed replacing... but after seeing what Barak could do with stripping the old paint off, replacing some bad boards, and staining... "We hired Jake Servais and his company on 11/26/18 to do snow removal for the season for $500. The first time the weather required snow removal they never showed up, and then called to say they were having mechanical issues and would it be ok if they didn't come (only about 2" of snow so I said ok). They did come 1x and remove some snow in late December. Then, on Monday (1/28), we got significant snowfall while we were out of town. I was assured via text from Jake they would be on it, as we had grandparents watching our kids. We had NO SERVICE. And then I went searching to see if we had been victim of fraud by this company. I found Jake Servais facebook page where he lists in early January the sale of all his snow equipment. I have no idea what is going on, but have made multiple attempts by email, phone and facebook messenger to connect and have got NO RESPONSE. I am looking into calling the police and want a refund of our $500."

"Dan installed a new roof and siding on our house in 2008 after a hailstorm. In July of 2019 we noticed a brown spot on the ceiling in a bedroom and determined there two leaks in the roof. After numerous unanswered calls, Dan finally agreed to come out and look at the roof and determined that there may have been an issue with the way the shingles were installed around the roof vents and he corrected that but the roof still leaked. Dan came out again and decided to caulk around the vents as he determined that was the only place the water could be coming from even though the leaks were four and nine feet away from the nearest vent. Even after caulking the vents the roof still leaked. Dan came out again and covered one of the vents with plastic to see if it was the vent itself but the roof still leaked. Dan came out yet again and replaced four vents but the roof still leaked. Dan tells me at this point that it can’t be anything he did and didn’t offer any further solutions on how to fix the problem. By now it is October and we are running out of time to get things fixed so I agreed to pay Dan’s cost for materials needed to replace the shingles on the portion of the roof that leaked but I couldn’t get him to agree to pay for the labor. I finally agree to pay for the labor too because my roof is still leaking and I need it fixed. At this point Dan asks me to determine how much of the roof should be replaced. Isn’t that his job? He even refused to come out and look at the roof while his crew removed the shingles to see if there was any way to determine what the problem was. Dan does not return phone calls on a timely basis (this was also true in 2008) and in my case he was not willing to stand behind his warranty or even offer any suggestions on how we could possibly get some relief from the shingle manufacturer. Dan claims that in doing roofs for 40 years he had never seen a problem like mine. I talked to three other roofers about my problem and they all agreed that even if they could not have determined why the roof was leaking they would have replaced the shingles at no cost to me for two reasons; one is that it would have been the right thing to do and the other was to avoid getting a bad review. Also, all of the other roofers refused to try and fix the leak as they did not want to take on the liability if the problem persisted. They would only replace the whole roof."

"I went in for a simple spark plug for my everyday toro power clear snow blower and as I left the shop attendant said..."good luck". I was wondering why he said that till I tried the spark plug and my engine wouldn't fire. Did some simple research and found that the plug he sold me was for a 2 cycle chainsaw type engine..NOT for a toro 2 cycle snow blower. Don't trust them if they can't get that simple part correct. "
