"Matt was great. He was on time for the job and very efficient. The former owners of our new home had 4 dogs, so as a result there was odor from the carpet in the lower level in particular. Matt fixed all that with his process and the carpet came out great and the odor is gone. I highly recommend Floor2Ceiling Solutions."

"After COVID hit, like many people, our business had to shut its doors for a time. During that time we had some construction done at the office. We had dust and debris everywhere floor to ceiling. Since we have a dental office everything had to be cleaned well. Jenny Clean not only helped clean up after the construction, they helped our office be COVID free by using cleaning agents that were strong enough for medical standards but still environmentally friendly. They were prompt and brought a whole crew up from Traverse City to get the job done right!! I'm very happy with the clean we received at the right price."

"Actually I was a little nervous about using Johnson's, but once I talked to Mr Johnson and he reassured me of his work, I decided to give him a try and I am glad I did. He did a very good job on my sofa and love seat. The color is a off white and I had never had it cleaned before. By the time he had finished, it looked like new again. I am very pleased with his worked. Thank you very much for recommending him to me."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Regular vacuuming is essential in homes with animals and children to remove pet hair, dirt, and debris from the carpet's surface. Additionally, prompt cleaning of spills and accidents can prevent stains from setting in. Consider using carpet protectors or area rugs in high-traffic areas to minimize wear and tear on your new carpeting.

The best cleaner to remove soot depends on the surface material and the type of fire, but consider dish soaps or degreasers, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen. Low-oxygen fires often leave behind greasy soot, which is best removed with dish soaps or degreasers. Baking soda can be useful for absorbing soot deposits from carpets, followed by rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean the set-in stains.

A professional cleaning service generally takes a few hours, typically between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the property's size and the severity of any stains. Keep in mind that wet cleaning methods will require additional drying time.

To prepare your upholstery for steam cleaning, start by vacuuming it clean. Pretreat any stains with a professional stain fighter or your own solution of dish soap and water. Pre-condition the fabric with the products of your choice, and be sure to include a shampoo if the fabric allows for shampooing. Start steam cleaning your couch or other piece of furniture with the cushions, then tackle the rest of the chair. Make sure you leave plenty of time to let it dry.

Patching your carpet in damaged areas or using an industry-grade cleaner on urine spots can help remove stains and scents from your carpet. If odors linger, leave baking soda on the area overnight (dry), then vacuum it up in the morning.
