"We love our awning! The sales process was easy and covered all our questions. Jason made sure we understood our options, explained all the features, and showed us how it may look (virtually). Installation was quick and efficient. It was installed on time and works perfectly. Our deck space is now complete, functional and beautiful. The smart shades and lighting are fantastic!"
"Job done on time and on budget. I looked for 2 years to find a company that would just replace the canvas. All other vendors wanted to sell me new anwing that cost like 5 times as much. If you need canvas replaced give these guys a call."
"Aden and his crew put in a retaining wall and concrete pad along with replacing our walkout basement doors and siding. The whole process was flawless from the start. Great communication from the get go. Definitely will be using again for other projects!"

I’m 36 year old, have been doing mainly industrial maintenance the past 6 years or so. Love fixing and putting together all kinds of different things. Not as experienced with home improvements but I have done my fair share, and am never afraid to take on a challenge. I can say that no matter what you throw at me, I will find a way to complete the job and make sure the customer is satisfied.
"We had retractable screens installed on our existing porch. Steve, the rep, was punctual, very friendly and very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. Install crew was punctual, professional and got the job done in half a day. We love how they look, operate and everything about them! Highly recommend product and people."
"I am terrible with names, but the sales guy came out and looked around the house, and gave us a rough estimate of under $20k to install vinyl siding, cover the trim with aluminum, retrim the windows, and install new gutters and downspouts. We told him we were interested in doing the project so he measured everything and provided us with a quote well under what he had originally estimated. He was able to help us finance most of the project. We picked out the colors of the siding and trim. He had several samples of the materials. He told us they may be able to squeeze us in in October but it may not be until December before they could get to us. They called us on a Thursday and told us to be ready for them on Monday. It took them 7 work days to finish the job. Half a day was lost to rain. We gave them a code to get into the garage to work. The house looks amazing. They even left us a sample of each material they used for color matching paint and such and 2 tubes of the caulk they used. I would definately hire them again."
They were prompt, the sales was low-pressure, the door itself was lifetime warranted, and the install was smooth. After the install they cleaned up the mess and remove the old door. Because the door was lifetime warranted, All Weather Seal has come out to repair it in the past, and has always been as professional as ever. An excellent company, I have used them to replace all of my windows as well. Highly recommended!
In addition to Angie's list, we talked to another customer who recommended Gecko painting company to us. Here is where I would like to advise people to look at the entire list of service providers before making a selection. There are excellent providers located throughout the listings. I called, left a brief message listing the kind of work I wanted to have done, and waited for a response. Jeff returned my call, set up a meeting time and showed up on time. He listened, made suggestions, and wrote up an estimate of the total costs. Jeff told us to make up a component list of materials: paint colors, fixtures, faucet and vanity etc. Jeff took our list and picked up and delivered all of the items to our home which helped to minimize confusion and to maintain an accurate record of the actual cost of everything we needed for the job. On day one of the project he showed up on time, covered our wood floors with plastic to protect the finish, and started the removal of the old stuff. Good housekeeping was practiced from beginning to end, they cleaned up every day, and were relatively quiet. The job was completed ahead of schedule and below cost. How did it go? Outstandingly well!
The end result looks sensational. My daughter-in-law approves and will be using Gecko painting in her home as well. My wife and I are planning future projects and we will definitely call on Gecko painting again. "
"Cory and team listened to what I was looking for and made great suggestions. I was kept up-to-date on supply issues. The team made helpful suggestions and was cognizant of our budget. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again. They communicated professionally and never ghosted us - very professional and much appreciated!"
The least expensive way to enclose a porch is with screens. These protect the room by preventing insects from entering and, if you live in a warm climate, provide excellent airflow during hot summer months. Screens cost far less than any other alternative, so if you are against getting permits, spending too much, or enclosing your porch in walls or glass, screens are the best choice.
Yes, most awnings include warranties for materials and installation. Confirm terms before purchasing.
While brick is sturdy and aesthetically pleasing, it’s also an expensive siding material. Other great siding options to consider include vinyl siding, wood siding, and fiber cement siding. Vinyl siding is likely to be the most affordable option, but wood siding can create a rustic aesthetic, and fiber cement is one of the lowest-maintenance siding options available.
It’s best to opt for a lightweight roof, as a heavy roof adds a lot of weight and pressure to the support posts and hardware and destabilizes the structure. Vinyl is a good, lightweight option, as is a nice open trellis, louvered aluminum or vinyl slats, or fabric panels. Clear polycarbonate is another great option that offers seamless shelter and additional UV protection without completely obscuring the sunshine. You can also choose retractable coverings or an awning that you only use in wet weather or when you need additional shade.
Acrylic, polyester, and vinyl are common options. Choose based on durability, UV resistance, and style.
