He added so many extra touches to the detailing and trim work that we didn’t expect and made the entire job even more beautiful than we could have imaged! In addition, he is very kind, thoughtful, professional and a great communicator! Thank you so much James and Extraordinary Kitchens for an outstanding job! Joe and Susie Doa"

"Working with Joe and Armor Tough Coatings was the best decision I made for my project. They painted my whole house , with one of the walls was a chevron wall and the other was a glitter wall. I get so many compliments on those two walls. They were easy to work with and were on the job everyday until the job was done. I will definitely call them again for my next painting project"

"I recently hired Clean Cut Painting for cabinet refinishing, and I?m honestly impressed with the results. My old kitchen cabinets looked worn and outdated, but their team transformed them completely. The finish is smooth, clean, and looks like brand new cabinets rather than refinished ones. They were professional, on time, and paid attention to every detail. The whole process was hassle-free, and the pricing felt fair for the quality delivered. Highly recommend them if you want to upgrade your cabinets without a full replacement!"

"I had my exterior vinyl sided house painted by Ellison Painting. They were extremely professional, taking great care to do the job right. Brad and Rachel were excellent to work with throughout the project and checked in/walked the project to make sure I was satisfied. Overall, great experience and result. "They did drywall repair and painted ceilings in the kitchen and foyer. They were very professional. Milosh came with his crew when they arrived in the am. He checked on them three times during the day to make sure all is well. They used plastic sheets to cover all the floors, walls and furnitures. They cleaned everything before they finished. Excellent job. Highly recommended. The owner Milosh is very nice and professional."

"Doni made sure my office was painted in time for the tech installation before opening and I could trust him with a key. All of my equipment waiting for install was accounted for. The paint job was done well and we’ve gotten quite a lot of compliments on the improvements."

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can replace just your cabinet doors, assuming the structure of the cabinets themselves is sound. Replacing only the doors can save you money when renovating your cabinets. New cabinet doors cost $300 on average, but range from $200 to $400, depending on the material and size. Keep in mind that replacement doors made of materials like fiberboard and engineered wood are less expensive than wooden cabinet doors.

You can modernize an old-looking closet by just painting it, but beyond that, consider electric elements like recessed or accent lighting. If this is a large and deep closet, you can consider adding an island to the middle or a nice ottoman on a rug. Luxury closets will have even more items, like felt-lined drawers for watches and jewelry, in-wall safes, electronic shoe storage, or a tablet catalog of their items.

No, in most cases, you do not have to remove your countertops to reface cabinets. Since refacing primarily involves updating the doors, drawer fronts, and exterior surfaces, your existing countertops can usually stay right where they are, making the process quicker and less disruptive. However, if your counters prevent the access needed to remove doors and drawers, they may need to be temporarily removed. It's best to consult with a professional cabinet contractor to assess your specific kitchen layout during an estimate.

Since there are many methods of repairing your cabinets, including refacing and refinishing, it can be tricky to know when to replace or fix your existing cabinets. Generally, it’s best to repair your existing cabinets when the cabinet boxes are in good condition. Additionally, this option is best when you’re being budget-friendly or remodeling.

Replacing your cabinets is best when you’re changing the layout of the room or when the cabinet boxes are in rough shape. It’s also best to replace your cabinets if you need more storage space, as this will remove the existing cabinets for new ones.

Refacing cabinets is more cost-effective than total replacement and offers a refreshed look by simply replacing doors and hardware, and applying new surface veneers while retaining existing cabinet boxes.
