"Worst workmanship I’ve ever seen. Basement still leaks, the system they installed does not drain water into the sump crock looks like water is now being diverted under the floor. Owner never came out to look at what his employees call a finished job. I was quoted by Dennis $56 a foot in the basement and when I got upstairs it was actually $59, red flag. I was quoted and designed a system and they installed another. Look at pics and you decide if you want to hire these hacks and liars. One other thing the workers mixed the Qiukrete next to my furnace that was running and the whole house was filled with concrete dust."

That said, you will need to resurface your concrete pool as it ages. Fiberglass is durable, but fiberglass pools generally only last around 25 to 30 years. The number of concrete bags you'll need depends on the width and length of your fence post hole. A 50-pound bag makes about 0.375 cubic feet of concrete. So, if your hole is 30 inches deep and 12 inches wide, you'll probably need around five 50-pound bags for each post.

You should have at least 4 to 6 inches of compactable base under your concrete slab. Your contractor may recommend more depending on the structure.

Placing either a layer of mixed-size gravel or a paver base under your crushed concrete driveway is a good idea. The smaller pieces will compress and prevent the larger pieces of concrete from driving into the soil below, helping to avoid sinking over time under the weight of vehicles. For added protection from sinking and weeks, you can also install a heavy-duty weed liner beneath the gravel or paver base. Just be sure to use a permeable material to avoid drainage problems.

Asphalt driveways are less expensive to install, but concrete driveways will add more value to your home over time. Because concrete is more durable and has a longer lifespan than asphalt, it’s considered a more desirable driveway material. Both materials will add more value than a gravel driveway, but concrete wins out due to its strength and longevity.
