"I want to thank Tallon Construction for the flat roof installed at the back of our home (about 6 x 16 foot section). We had had a company replace our whole house roofing including the flat roof. The flat roof ended up being installed wrong despite several attempts by the company to correct it. It leaked into our brand new remodeled kitchen and ruined drywall and paint etc. So, we found Tallon Construction to redo the flat roof. Tracy Falls, their sales guy, was friendly and kind and very helpful with his advice and guidance. He was not pushy but made sure we understood what products would help or not, and which techniques would help or not. He was honest if we asked if things could be done but there was a limitation (ie not adequate spacing for adding sloping). He worked with us to make sure the roof was done so that an upstairs safety railing could be installed later without harming the protection of the rubber membrane. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Unfortunately, we were a very small job and we had an extremely wet spring and summer, so our project got delayed from spring to middle of July. We wished it had been done sooner, but we also understand the weather limitations as well. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The guys who installed the roof were personable and seemed to be very knowledgeable and efficient with this type of torch down roof installation. They removed the previous roof, checked to make sure there were no issues with decking or rot. It took half a day inclusive of clean up. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> About two weeks later, we had torrential rains. We noticed our small bathroom in another part of the house had been rained into (the ceiling inside was down for other reasons). We called Tallon and they insisted on coming out and checking their work right away. Tracy Falls came out and did a beyond thorough checking complete with garden hose testing and actually helped my husband narrow it down to us having left an upstairs screen open during the rain (embarrassing!). Everything is perfect now. We are happy with the roof. A railing was installed shortly after (not thru Tallon....they do railings but we had specific design and materials required to match our lower deck...Tallon offered aluminum railings) and everything worked great with that too. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Thank you, Tallon, for your flat roof expertise and for fixing the last contractor's mess. We wish we had gotten Tallon from the start for our larger house project. <br />show more

"I had purchased a big deal and the service was not too good. I would not recommend them. The man was good, but he did not complete the work. I brought out 2 chairs before the 4 hours were over, and he was upset. Although he dabbed away, I could see that he was not happy. He didn't paint between the legs, and as I talked to him, he painted a little more. He was blasting his radio, and I wasn't real happy with it. He painted the table which is handmade, and he didn't paint in between the legs. He was reluctant to do the chairs, because he said that he thought he was done.&nbsp; I think it wasn't an A1 job.&nbsp; I thought the price was quite high for what they did. The things he did were okay, but he didn't do all of them. We had to wait for months to get an appointment. <br /> <br /> &nbsp;I got the special deal on the internet, and it was 4 hours of painting for $300, and he didn't know that that was the deal we had. I am not sure what he knew. We didn't get a full 4 hours, and the other problem we had was in scheduling. We wanted him to come after the patio had dried, and it had rained the day before, so he still painted it anyway. The guy was a little bit of a hippie, but that was okay.show more
