"I reside in Dearborn and hired USA Insulation of SE Michigan. I am pleased to write that they did an excellent and thorough job. There was a couple of minor issues that were resolved immediately. The workers were kind and respectful. They cleaned up the mess. Other than the sign in the yard, you wouldn't have known they were here. It's been a month and I noticed that the outside noise has been reduced. The temperature in the home is better but with 100 degree temps outside it is difficult to judge. I have to wait for the first electric bill."

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

You can increase your home’s load factor by replacing fuse boxes with a circuit breaker, hiring a licensed electrician to upgrade your electrical panel, upgrading wiring, or installing subpanels. An electrical inspection by an expert can help determine the state of your current electrical systems and how they can be improved.

The extra insulation helps reduce energy costs by minimizing drafts and temperature exchange between indoors and outdoors.

Energy-efficient windows are judged on their performance according to a few different factors, including heat transfer, air leakage, light transference, and condensation resistance. If you're unsure whether a window is energy-efficient, look for an ENERGY STAR® label from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If various products, including windows, meet energy-efficiency standards set by the federal government, the EPA issues this label to help consumers identify energy-efficient products.

Electric bills tend to be lower in spring and fall because people use less electricity during these seasons. Milder temperatures allow for less use of heating and cooling, unlike during winter and summer, which usually bring more extreme temperatures.

HVAC systems use the most household electricity. This major and essential system is responsible for heating and cooling your home all year round. Since they operate for a significant amount during the day, it consumes more energy than other appliances.
