"James answered the phone right away and was able to schedule me within a couple of days (non-emergency). I had a new sump pump that he was able to install with just an adapter. He was honest and I would highly recommend All-Ways Dry and use them again in the future."

"The basement crawlspace has stayed dry since they installed their system, however, there is still a lot of clean-up required. There are also some revisions pending along with the replacement of some damaged property. These outstanding issues have been scheduled for 5/16/17, three weeks after the initial installation. Once the pending issues are resolved to my satisfaction, I would have no problem in re-evaluating Ever Dry's ratings."

"The sump pumps were installed correctly and efficiently.  However, the dry well was placed in the wrong spot (in the middle of the yard).   I notified the owner.    However, the crew that installed the dry well did not think it was a problem, since we signed off on the design.   To the owner's credit, he did make it correct and sent a crew out to fix the mistake.   The crew did a good job, however, we had to go through quite a bit to get a good resolution.
If you are using this company, make sure you understand the plans completely.  They do good work, but you must understand exactly what they are working on and be there when they are.

"The first one they ordered was the wrong kind so this delayed the installation. The plumbing company they used had to come back after the installation because there was a leak at the wall. Thank goodness it was in the garage. I was not happy that I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades which were not covered by my policy."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on clog severity, pipe condition, equipment required, and labor.

The first rule of plumbing is nothing but water, toilet paper, number one, and number two go down the drain.

To prevent clogs, get yourself:

  • A compast pail where you can clean plates, drain grease, and toss scraps and paper towels.

  • Drain screens for the shower, tub, and bathroom sink to stop hair, jewelry, toys, etc. from going down the drain.

  • Trash cans for everything that shouldn’t go down the drain, like dental floss, hygiene products, and cat litter.

P.S.: If you do drop your priceless ring down the drain, take a deep breath, and then follow these steps to retrieve jewelry from your drain.

With a one-way cleanout, you can access your sewer line from one direction. Depending on the way it curves, a plumber can either access the side of the pipe that goes into your home or the side that goes to your yard. On the other hand, two-way cleanouts allow pros to access both sides of the sewer line, thanks to their dual-pipe design (they’re usually U-shaped).

Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.

Even if the shower drain doesn’t seem clogged or dirty, plan to clean it out about once per month—or more frequently if you or your family shed a lot of hair. It’s a good practice to remove any hair from the drain on a daily basis, as hair can accumulate fast and cause clogs in no time. You may also want to have a plumber thoroughly clean the drains in your home once every six months.
