From the beginning Nicol was very easy to work with and was VERY responsive to my calls. I was able to get an initial quote very quickly via email after giving her the number of window sections and dimensions needed. The price quoted was a bit high, I thought, for what needed to be done. At that point Nicol and Chris came out (on a Sunday) and did a thorough evaluation and were able to revise the estimate downward, due to the type of window (not as complicated as was initially assumed). They got the estimate to me quickly. They made the extra effort to get my business and were informative about the work throughout the process. Work was started within a week (would have been a few days, except they needed to source new bead material, since the existing bead on the windows was to brittle to use). Even while waiting for the new bead material, they were working on building 12 of the sections before even coming to the house. The glass techs (Mike and crew) arrived on time both days, they were efficient, professional and very respectful. The first day they rebuilt 9 sections, which had to be built on site in order to include decorative elements between the panes. The second day they assembled the remaining 11 sections for the sliders and double-hung windows. Chris and Matthew and one other individual (didn't catch his name) came on a third day (a Sunday, no less) to work on the picture window. It took 6 hours to rebuild the window due to more extensive damage than originally observed, yet Chris persevered and did an incredible job. In fact, ALL the guys did a great job, up to and including making sure all surfaces were clean of any sealant/caulking before finishing the job. And they cleaned up well after each day's work. Due to the need to get new bead material and the additional work on the picture window, the final cost ended up being close to the original estimate. However, after seeing what is involved in making these repairs, it is fair. And it's half the cost of getting new (cheap vinyl no-frills) windows, and probably a quarter the cost of getting good quality windows. Excellent value. I also highly recommend this company!

I had several areas of fascia/soffits/trim that needed repair or replacement due to rotting wood. The person that came to do the estimate ensured me that they could take care of these areas (I didn't have to hire a separate person to repair or replace these sections -yay!). We were already off to a good start. He did warn me that they were booked for the next 2.5 weeks, so my outdoor project would be weather-dependant. One other aspect I thought very professional - they did not ask for a downpayment - payment due once the job was completed. Their timing was right on, it was about 2.5 weeks before they called to say they would come the next day to do the work. It turned out that the day was miserable (raining, cold), so we agreed that they would tackle the outdoor project the next day (weather was supposed to be better), and leave 1 guy to do the indoor project that day. Stairwell painting project was completed that day (2 coats ceiling, 2 coats walls) and looks great! They crew came back the next day and completed the outdoor project. They: -Replaced areas where wood was almost entirely rotted. -Used an epoxy filler (?) to repair semi-rotted areas. - Scraped and sanded surfaces as needed. - Removed screens for access to windows. - Painted a total of 2 coats on all surfaces. (Estimate was originally for 1 coat, but did want 2. Price given for additional coat on day of project was reasonable and so agreed. Looks much better w/2 coats.) - Replaced screens Since the wood was in very rough shape overall, the results are quite good. Especially since they did the job on what I believe will turn out to be the last decent day (50's, sun, low breeze) this year. If they had more time, I would have liked to see the existing boards smoothed out a bit more (maybe some wood filler would be sufficient). The epoxy repairs on the rotted areas are good but not perfectly smooth, so may need some touch up come spring. The entire crew (8-9 guys) worked well together, worked efficiently, and were great to work with - very friendly. The crew started work about 8:15am and were finished by (if I remember correctly) about 1:30 or 2pm. At the end, the crew chief, Robert, said to call if there are any issues. Overall, one of the best companies I've worked with so far.
Follow-up 8/26/2015 - There was one window that I was unable to open from the inside come spring, and Robert came out within a day or two of my call and was able to unstick the window from the outside in a matter of about 10 minutes. I think that if we had been able to allow the paint to dry for another 30 minutes when it was painted back in Nov., it might not have stuck. But who knows for sure. Anyway, I am again impressed with the professionalism of this company. Of course the pipes blew out shortly after the installation of the solar heater draining our new pool in the middle of the night. When a call was made to Viscount that morning they told us that they installed the solar heater as a courtesy and that they would not stand behind the installation. What I learned after having another pool company come out and repaired the solar heater hook up, is that you "never" use electrical tape with water! Viscount used electrical tape because they used the wrong size piping. We had to purchase all new piping, connectors and adapter to properly install the solar heater.

There's nothing worse than the A/C failing the first time it gets really hot. Monica replied quickly, and Don was out on time. We anticipated a big problem since this was a rental property and the previous renter had "fixed" the furnace on his own, which affected the A/C Don fixed it...

FAQs for leather and vinyl repair projects in Norway, MI
Whether the leather repair is worth it depends on the extent of the damage, the cost to repair, and the value of the leather item. If the leather is part of an item that’s very expensive to replace, then attempting to repair it may be worth it. Also, if the leather piece holds great sentimental value, it’s worth restoration or repair, if possible.
Most leather sofa repairs cost between $100 and $400. A small repair, like a single scratch or tear, may cost between about $100 and $150. However, larger, more complex repairs that may require total reupholstery can cost up to $4,000, depending on the type of leather, the build of the sofa, and the time required to complete the work. A leather repair specialist will provide an estimate based on the specific project and its damage.
Leather patches can last anywhere from two to 20 years, depending on use, maintenance, and the environment the leather is in. The longevity of the leather repair also depends on the nature of the original damage and the repairs required. Consult a leather repair specialist about how to make your leather fix last as long as possible.
It’s possible to repair damaged leather as long as the damage is not too severe. Professional leather repair specialists can fill, smooth, and refinish damage like scratches, cracks, and other damage by color matching the rest of the leather. Leather repair pros can evaluate the damage and recommend a plan for repair or replacement. If the leather is on furniture or another item that’s difficult or impossible to replace, repair is the best option, even if the repair does not match perfectly.
When deciding whether to repair your leather furniture or not, consider a few advantages and disadvantages:
Pros
Less expensive than buying a new piece
Extends the life of the leather before replacement is necessary
Makes your leather item look like new
Some repairs are relatively easy
Cons
Some repairs may be costly
Damage may not be repairable
Repairs may not blend perfectly with the original leather
May need to leave the piece with a repair expert
