Mid Michigan Upholstery & Awning has two locations in Mid-Michigan to serve you - Alma and Mt Pleasant. We are a full service Awning, Graphics and Upholstery business with over 20 years of experience. Some of our services include: auto and boat seats recovered or repaired, retractable awnings, awning and canvas repairs, auto graphics, store signage and awnings, furniture re-upholstering and repairs, banners and design service. **Addendum on 9/20/11** At the time of this report, the furniture was ruined. However, the matter has been resolved and the quality of the work is to my satisfation.
"Customer – Member's name Service - Recover Lay-z-boy, occasional chair and ottoman Original Date of Service – May 2011 • Elderly lady and may have confused the facts on deadlines, etc.; was difficult to work with from the start. • Customer was in for 6 different visits for estimates for a total of 6 hours. • On 3 different occasions the customer broke a scheduled appointment due to doctor appointments, illness, aches, etc. • After fabric was already ordered customer changed her mind and requested a different fabric. MMUA had to return the first order at a 15% restocking fee. This fee was not passed on to the customer. • Complained that there were staples that were falling out on her carpet but all staples were removed during the recovering process. • Customer put arm down into side of seat up to her elbow stating there was something sharp there but could no longer find it. • Was given complimentary arm covers and was not happy with those. • The complaint to Angie’s List was made the day after MMUA took the furniture back to correct her issues. • Customer started making harassing phone calls insulting not only the business but staff as well. Used foul language during every conversation. • During her visits to the store the customer brought in different men with her with the intent to intimidate myself and staff. • After the furniture was re-done the customer attempted to leave with the furniture and not pay for the additional services rendered. • The member's comments and opinions of MMUA are not an accurate representation of our business or our commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer service."
