Do not give this guy any money up front! Poor work and takes off before the job is finished. Left our place in a HUGE MESS! Half finished. Painted over drywall dust so thick it came right through the paint. He does not know what he’s doing. Messed up almost everything he touched. (Xcon)

Don't go here! I dropped my push mower off and they said they would call with a diagnosis if it was worth fixing or replacing. Two weeks later, I hadn't heard anything so I called to politely inquire, and was told they hadn't even looked at it yet due to a back-up of machines.... so when I said I would come pick it up that day to take it somewhere else, I was told they would only release it to me for a $25 "early pick-up" fee for the time they had already spent on it. WHAT??? Don't go here. Poor communication, poor customer service, and poor policies.

This was a failure. 1) After removing all the existing sod and most of the existing topsoil, TPM then brought in topsoil from an unknown source. They failed to properly grade the lawn. I now have a depression at the front sidewalk which collects standing water and a "hill" in another portion of the yard. 2) The topsoil TPM used was full of nut sedge, quack grass, crab grass, and horsetail rush. I didn't have these weeds throughout my existing lawn before TPM removed my grass and soil. 3) TPM completed "smoothing" the bare dirt on a Thursday and I heard nothing from them until the following Thursday when I called to inquire when hydroseeding was to be done. I was told they would be out the next day. 4) TPM subcontracted Reder Landscaping to hydroseed the lawn. Reder showed up with clogged machinery that wasted quite a bit of seed/matrix in the street, then left to clean their equipment off site. When Reder returned, their equipment was still malfunctioning and they left again for repairs. When Reder returned a third time, I noted the pressure hose from their tanker truck had been repaired with duct tape. This poor repair burst, wasting more seed/matrix in a puddle in my yard. The crew repaired the burst section again with duct tape and continued to attempt to spray the bare dirt. It appeared at the time that coverage by matrix was accomplished, although it was impossible to tell how much seed was actually mixed in. 5) After 8 weeks I had a couple of areas with adequate grass coverage, but the majority of the lawn and the outlawn was bare dirt and noxious weeds. The depression was a mud puddle. I have an automatic sprinkler system which was set to water 2X/day to keep the ground moist for sprouting. 6) I contacted TPM and complained about the poor quality. Their response was "that was why I was pushing you to get the sod" (at a total cost of $6K.) They also admitted the lawn looked as though Reder had run out of seed during the hydroseeding operation. TPM suggested I go to a local supplier, purchase seed, and redo the lawn myself as well as call another contractor to do weed control, all at my expense, because "hydroseeding is not under warranty." I have an email thread to back these statements and pictures of the disaster I received from these people.

H & B EQUIPMENT INCThey come to my house, pick up my mower, and they bring it back. They do it in a reasonable time. They can do it within a couple of days which I think is good. Basically I've used them a couple of times, they do basically anything you want. They diagnose it. They do charge a delivery charge but I don't blame them for that. They're nice people too.- bradley m.

Just Call Joe Lawn Mower RepairJoe is an absolutely lovely man! Very patient and knows his stuff!! He came to my house (a good 10 mile drive or more) twice in very hot and humid weather....once to do the tune ups and the second time in order to replace the gas tank. He took the time to instruct a slightly frazzed homeowner more than once! Heck of a guy!- Susan B.

Just Call Joe Lawn Mower RepairI called a mobile repair man named Joe to come fix my john Deere tractor/ mower. He came on time and was equiped to do an oil change in my drive way, new air filter( He picked one up on the way to my home after I gave him my model number!) replaced my bad solenoid, had a tool to sharpen my blade. He took a hydrolic lift out of his truck. He lifted up my mower and sharpened the blade. He then put a blower on his compressor and blew all the lawn debris off my carburator, mower, air filter etc. He did a fantastic job. Even went back to the commercial mower shop to buy a new solenoid . He tested my old one and found it was my problem. You see I bought a new battery the night before and put it in and still my mower would not start. So let me say this he was at my home at 9am. and left at 2pm. and charged me 100.00 and 59.00 for the parts. He was great!! he had all the testers , took the old oil with him, and was well equipt for any repair. I recommend him and will tell all about this great service guy JOE!!!- Julie Z.

COUNTRYSIDE LAWN & GARDEN EQUIPMENTFine - One mower (brand new) had a problem that turned out to be a warranty problem, had to wait for spare parts. Countryside handled getting it paid for under warranty even though I didn't buy the mower there. Upon arriving home, found that both mowers had minor problems they didn't have when I took them in. Countryside came out to the house and took care of it -- they really made it right, and all equipment works perfectly now.- Carilee M.
