"Geoff West and his crew took on our job, which was a conversion from a septic system to a sewer system, that involved crossing an easement. The length of the sewer line from our house to the sewer main was about 500 feet. Because of having to tap into a sewer system at a specific spot as determined by Canton Township, Geoff had to work with the engineering department, plus get additional insurance that was dictated by the township. He did his best to get these done to our advantage. Geoff was in constant contact with me throughout the process. He would respond promptly to my texts and my phone calls. I have been burned by contractors in the past, and dealing with Geoff has restored a bit of my faith that there are some contractors who care about their customers. In addition, a member of Geoff's team, Rob, was also very helpful toward the end of the job when an injection pump was being installed. Rob made sure there area in which he work was kept clean as the installation of the pump required jackhammering through concrete. "Though more accomplished than expected, the workers surprised me with a failed result. They couldn't put the project back together correctly; everyone saw something was off. Outside the stall looked fine, but the tile they "replaced" was actually the original, just poorly handled. They left the last row unfinished after hitting a curve hard and breaking the tile apart. Instead of using a diamond saw for a clean $400 straight cut, they took a shortcut that ruined the piece. The tile broke jaggedly, so they tried to hide the damage by burying the break line under piles of caulk and extra material. Now, the fracture is "leaking" through the mess. Worse, they left a metal tool inside the assembly, blocking water flow. While the drain placement was okay, the plumbing is now a disaster. They tore up the floor unnecessarily when they could have just cut small plugs around the pipe, swapped the plastic, and used thinnest Because of their "gung-ho" attitude and lack of communication."
