"The Garcias did a beautiful job on the bedroom. I had removed wallpaper and in the process gouged the drywall in several areas and pulled off some drywall tape. They had to patch and retape the drywall as well as sand the walls before they could even prime and paint them. The end result was truly impressive and I was pleased with the competitive pricing for the project. I will definitely hire the Garcias for any future painting projects."

"I contacted Angie’s List for a painter to trim the house. Picasso Painting gave me an estimate and was hired. They painted the front which is a one story and a one and a half stories in the back. Wood stain is not flammable after it dries. The solvent in wood stain is what causes the liquid form to be highly flammable, but the stain drying process involves the solvents dissolving, which leaves behind a non-flammable product on your wood project. Wood stain is, however, flammable before you apply it, so you should always store partially full cans and used wood stain rags away from sources of heat and open flames.

On most untreated wood fences, there is no need to sand before treating. You typically only need to sand if there’s an old coat of paint or stain on your fence. If you do need to sand off a previous paint or protective coating (like an old stain or sealant), use medium-grit sandpaper.

If you don’t treat a cedar fence, it will turn from reddish brown to gray over time. You can keep the cedar from graying and retain its attractive, deep red color by sealing your cedar fence with a stain that keeps the wood’s oils in and serves as a barrier against the sun’s UV rays.

You can paint an old wooden fence, but make sure first to do a deep clean (ideally with a pressure washer) and inspect the fence for any existing damage. Painting over dirt and debris will cause your paint to peel. Once you’ve cleaned and repaired any minor issues, use a primer and high-quality satin paint.
