Small jobs welcome

"This company's rates were competitive, but what really set them apart was the consistent communication with us about the providing the quote, following up on booking date/time for asbestos removal, and doing the work on time. Also they thoroughly answered our many questions and requests for clarifications throughout the process. Getting asbestos removed is no joke and Envirogo was very clear about their safety protocols. Would definitely recommend."

"Mr. Walker was fast, efficient and communicated well. He reached out quickly after my enquiry, he came for the samples the next day exactly as he planned and had a completed lab test report emailed to me the following day. Based upon this experience I plan to hire his services for asbestos removal."

Customers say: Quick response

"Mike Haman was fabulous. He came on time with his coworker to remove 60 feet of asbestos steam pipe insulation along with about 20 joints which had exposed asbestos. He isolated the area with a plastic doorway screen from the rest of the house. A third party examined the asbestos level in the air when he was done and it well below permissible levels. He even removed some asbestos containing floor tile for me for free and then showed me how to set up the joint fittings ( elbows, tees, etc) for the new fiberglass insulation. His quote was the best of all of the four bids I got and service was excellent. I would recommend him to anyone. I suggest that anyone who wants asbestos removed clear the area completely of any items."

"Anthony and his team were absolutely amazing! Let me tell you why. For the past three months, we struggled to find a reliable company for our asbestos abatement project. Many contractors ghosted us or failed to follow through. However, Anthony stood out from the rest. He showed up promptly on the very first day and was always on time throughout the process. Out of the three bids we received, Anthony’s price was the most competitive. He provided us with a clear start date for the project, and true to his word, he and his team began the work exactly as scheduled. As busy professionals, we were concerned about potential noise and odors disrupting our routine. To our surprise, we experienced none of that. Anthony and his team were incredibly respectful of our time and space. They arrived after we left for the day and finished their work before we returned, ensuring no interruptions to our daily lives. Within just three days, they completed the abatement of our kitchen and mechanical ro"

Asbestos Removal questions, answered by experts

Scraping off asbestos siding is extremely dangerous. When asbestos is inert, it does not pose a risk, but once disturbed, the fibers enter the air that you breathe and can cause irreparable damage. Professionals may scrape it off, but they will have more protective equipment and specialized tools that most homeowners do not have on hand.

In the 1980s, the use of asbestos in house siding materials underwent a significant decline, ultimately being phased out by the mid-1980s to early 1990s. This change was largely due to a growing awareness of the severe health risks associated with asbestos exposure, particularly its link to lung diseases and cancers. With increased public concern and regulatory agency involvement, building codes and regulations were updated to restrict the use of asbestos in construction materials.

You are not really supposed to seal asbestos with paint, but in theory it could work—the caveat being that this is extremely dangerous and should be avoided at all costs. The only real way to seal asbestos is with the professional application of an encapsulating material like epoxy. Due to the negative effect asbestos can have on your home, however, it is usually the best course of action to accept a costly fix and remove the material entirely.

Power washing asbestos siding can be hazardous and isn't recommended. The power washer's high pressure can disturb the siding and release harmful asbestos fibers into the air. Rather than attempting to DIY it, hire a professional trained in asbestos handling to tackle any exterior cleaning.

Hazardous waste is waste that poses a threat to human or environmental health. This generally refers to waste that is flammable, corrosive, toxic, or reactive. To confirm if the waste you need to remove is considered hazardous waste, contact your local hazardous waste facility.
