"We had been looking for someone to install backsplash tile after we had new countertops installed. It was not a huge job and we seemed to have problems getting contractors to respond to our inquires for quotes. Jake responded very quickly and set up an appointment to quote our project. I am fairly well versed in the trades, and it became apparent quite quickly during Jake's onsite visit to look at our project that he knew what he was talking about. His quote was fair and he was able to get us scheduled between a couple of bigger projects. He showed up on time, did great quality work, spent time explaining things and answering my questions, and the jobsite was cleaned up after he was done for the day. His attention to detail was excellent, as was the finished product. I have no problem highly recommending Jake and Rockford Tile. I will not hesitate to call him back if we ever need any other tile work done."

"We had a wonderful experience working with Modern Day Design. We did a mini kitchen reno, changing everything in our 2003 kitchen except for the cabinets. Jessica handled all of our communication with schedules, timelines, and subcontractors. Jim and Jake were great as well - Jim created a little microwave nook for us in our existing pantry and did a beautiful job on adding the crown and shoe molding. We gave them a deadline of before Christmas and they did it!! We absolutely love our new kitchen and it already feels like home! "

On July 17th, he said he would start work on July 21st, but we never received any paperwork to sign. He even mentioned, ?I know I?m terrible at paperwork.? While working in our home, he locked our dogs outside and allowed his dog free range of the house. His dog had an accident on our white area rug, which we only discovered through our home cameras. The kitchen was completed in mid-September, and we signed off with a contingency. Nine cabinet doors did not meet our expectations due to cracks or poor assembly, and we requested replacements. On October 23rd, we followed up to ask if the cabinets had been ordered but received no response. I reached out again recently and feel we are being avoided. The quality of the finished work was good, but the lack of communication and professionalism made the experience frustrating."
