"I hired Refloor to come back and do my basement too. The installation was delayed due to stock shortage but the floors are in and they are beautiful. I hired my own painter to stain the moldings to match the floors. The floors look so much like real wood. Great job!"

"The team did an exceptional job of removing our old wood flooring and replacing it with a new 4 inch planking. The team showed excellent workmanship and was always polite. They explained and showed me why I needed to replace the flooring rather than sanding and restoring the old as I had planned. The work was completed on time. They also explained what I need to do to maintain the flooring."

"As a businessman, I raise the bar very high on timely responsive communication, quality of workmanship and professionalism. Kalamazoo Concrete Coatings, LLC. certainly, satisfied all three (3) aforementioned prerequitsites, start to finish. Alec and his team provided a very impressive epoxy floor in our two-car garage that was desperately in need of major amounts of TLC. Their vast amount of state-of-the-art equipment (with dust collectors) combined with craftmanship experience turned my embarrassing, pitted, dingy garage floor to shiny, charcoal black show piece with a low slip textured clear coat. I know you have options, but do yourself a big favor, save your frustration and time. Make your first call to Kalamazoo Concrete Coatings, LLC. (269)-808-1121. Tell them Steve Harp recommended you to call.... You will be glad you did, guaranteed!"

"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

The fastest way to remove carpet is to remove carpet in strips instead of trying to remove it in one large piece. Wear protective equipment such as gloves and goggles, use a utility knife to cut the carpet in long strips, and then pull at the edge of the strip to loosen the staples or glue. Carpet-cutting razor blades are best on your utility knife for the quickest removal.

Yes, laying laminate over carpet may void the warranty of your flooring. Most laminate manufacturers specify installation over a suitable subfloor, not carpet. Deviating from these installation guidelines can invalidate the warranty. You should stick to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure warranty coverage, and you should always consult with professional laminate flooring installers near you if you have any concerns or questions regarding installation methods.

The relative cost of adding an epoxy coating to your garage varies compared to other flooring materials and the type of epoxy. For example, epoxy can cost between $3 to $12 per square foot to install, which typically costs more than other garage flooring options, such as concrete sealers, vinyl, and concrete stain. In comparison, vinyl SPC flooring for garages cost between $3.50 to $8 per square foot and concrete sealer costs $50 to $420, depending on the type of sealant.

No, replacing flooring is considered a renovation. You're updating an existing feature without changing the layout or structure of the space. However, it can be a remodel if extensive work is needed to update the subflooring.

Carpeting with a low pile is both slip-resistant and soft, making it one of the safest types of flooring in the case of slips and falls. In order to be fully ADA-compliant, carpet shouldn’t exceed the thickness of half an inch, and you should secure the edges to the floor to prevent trip hazards.

Other ADA-compliant flooring options include hardwood, laminate, or ceramic tile with a gritty, anti-slip surface. Ceramic or porcelain tile are actually some of the best types of flooring for wheelchair users.
