"We bought our home just prior to the lockdown in 2020. The home had not been painted in 15 years and was in desperate need. We have high ceilings, 20 wood cased windows, many closets, and massive amounts of decorative woodwork and built-ins that had to be painted. There was a lot of repair work and prep that needed to be done. We chose custom paint colors, with Ernie’s help. The finished product was, and two years later, still is absolutely gorgeous. But I really want to talk about Ernie and his crew - all professional and talented painters. When the job started, there was a crew of 5 - and then a week into the job the lockdown began. The house was empty, so they were able to break the house into zones and continued painting, but 2 of the crew had to drop out because of COVID concerns. At the end of the second week, painting was declared “non-essential” which put Ernie and us in a difficult position. The third week there was one painter to finish the job - he took cabinet doors home with him and set up a spray tent and finished them at night after painting all day at the house.
