"The most important thing I can say about Atlantic Coast Waterproofing is meet with all other foundation experts first, then call Gary. Why? INSPECTION 1. He pointed out that my basement floor overlaid the footer at different heights based on where you are in basement. --No other specialist pointed this out, this detail is very important 2. He was able to point out previous homeowners put in "home made" system --No other specialist pointed this out, this detail is very important 3. He was able to answer my questions about exterior of house that might need attention to maximize keeping basement as dry as possible, while working in parallel with interior system 4. Professional, respectful, straight forward PROPOSAL 1. Informative 2. Best warranty in the industry. 3. Cost came in similar to other proposals that would not have been effective solution for my situation INSTALLATION - BASICS 01. Anytime Gary ran into a home specific challenge he was able to overcome and offer different solutions to correct 03. Any silly question I had was happily answered 04. Walked me through progress daily 05. Was able to adapt to inspector asking for a different proposed sump pump solution, this was no problem 06. Was able to re-assure me that removal of old shower was best interest when he found sub-par installation and mold! 07. The work was super clean in basement 08. Trench was a good 14 inches wide, dug to bottom of footer, with 4 inch pipe installed 09. Gary made sure to test each weep hole very carefully and re-drilled any hole with questionable drainage or mortar clogs 09. Final gravel, pipe and cement installation was executed flawlessly 10. Permit inspector raved about the good job Gary and his team had done and he passed inspection with flying colors INSTALLATION - ABOVE AND BEYOND 01. There was questionable broken shower drain pipe, he just fixed it, no problem 02. While preparing area around sump pump Gary went the extra mile to investigate what could be another bad "home made" plumbing solution. Turns out the previous owner did not connect sump pump outlet to main sewer line, leaving a visible gap, and essentially allowing sewer gases to escape! Gary then switched gears, put on his plumber hat, and had multiple solutions to correct problem. There was a nominal cost associated with it, but I was MORE THAN HAPPY to pay for properly fixing a very bad plumbing situation. 03. Gary's crew are also there to get it done right. When his crew arrived one member pointed out that cleanout to main sewer line was not up to code. This was not pressing concern, but once other plumbing problems were uncovered, they brought this up to code at cost of some new PVC pipe. Very nice. 04. Gary's final cleanup surprised me, in a good way. After seeing first hand the unavoidable mess this type of work can cause, Gary humbly said they do their best with final clean up. Well, when we did final inspection, the basement and exterior never looked better. Nice."

"Removal was efficient even though there was a lot more concrete below ground than expected. Made a trip to the hardware store for extra sand to fill in the hole and even hooked me up with a new hoop!"

"The product in and of itself is excellent. The salesperson was well-informed and did a great presentation, offering a very reasonable price. I was thrilled. The workers were professional and polite. However, when they arrived, they had not reviewed how the pipes were to be installed for proper drainage. I sometimes have to jump into work early if I'm needed. I let them know I might have to leave while they were working, and might not be able to supervise their work. I had to leave early, told them the details, and left. I did not come home to what I had requested. I spoke with the dispatch person (the owner's wife), and was told in no uncertain terms that I was stuck with it the way it was because I had "signed off" on the job. I had to stop payment on the check, and reached out to the owner. He informed me that I was being "unreasonable" to ask that the work be done properly, questioned my sanity, and told me I needed help as I had "mental problems". He threatened to send me to collections, and I informed him that I was happy to pay, and simply needed two drainpipes to be put behind the fence instead of in front of the fence. Again, I was told I was "unreasonable", and that the workers were not required to read the specifications for the job, that it was my responsibility to communicate that to them (news to me). He stated he would come in about two weeks, even though it was a "long drive". I thought about the lack of customer service and realized that I really did not want to deal any further with this company, and paid them. My conclusion: great product, good workmanship, but communication with the home office was very angry and drama-ridden (not to mention being told that I was mentally unstable). I think I expected more from them in terms of communication than they are able to give. If you do use them, be very specific about placement, and be sure to stay until the installation is complete. It is a five-star installation and product, which is what the two stars are for. It's a zero in terms of customer service."

Our company prides ourselves on being professional with great customer service. We can complete any task you might need for your home renovations but specialize in flooring from repairs to installation. Give us a call today!

"My project started back in April. Eric was friendly and sounded like he knew what he was doing. The kitchen was already demolished so we just need him to get it back together with the new material. Now I understand supply chain issues and waiting for supply’s but our four month kitchen did not have to take that long. Fast forward to the end of last week when we fired them. four months into our project not a single part of the kitchen is complete. Drywall isn’t done, cabinet doors are not sitting right, transition from the tile to wood floor not done, panels on cabinets are not done. Caulking on backsplash is not done, dishwasher is not set, filler strips are not in place, covers on electrical are not done floor vent was forgot about and never flipped around, sink was never caulked has been a nightmare. We feel that the 6000 we have paid was money well wasted. There is damages to our new cabinets which his solution was to put tape that matches the cabinet on it. There is grout on our brand new stove that we cannot scrap off without scratching the finish. Our insurance company withheld funds after they seen the work that been started and wanted water valves replaced and the gas valve replace since they are paying for a remodel not a cover up. We were super understanding and patient but we waited long enough for one thing to be finished. We couldn’t do him working on our project one day a week and then a week off and one day the next week and so on hence the four month project. After this disaster I would not recommend."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Most of the time, you can replace a kitchen sink without replacing the entire counter. However, if you’re replacing a large sink with a smaller sink, you’ll have to fully replace the counter because you’ll have a gap in the sink space area. But if your new sink is bigger than your old sink, your pro can simply cut into your counter to open up space for it.

Frost-free faucets should not require outdoor pipe winterization when installed properly. The design of a frost-free spigot ensures that water flows out of the spout instead of sitting inside. Additionally, the shutoff valve for the pipe lives inside your home at the end of a long supply pipe, keeping the waiting water from freezing in outdoor temperatures.

PVC pipes are easy to cut out and replace if you have minimum plumbing knowledge. To replace a portion of PVC pipe by yourself, use a hacksaw to cut out the damaged portion and empty out the water. Then, attach the new pipe and secure the ends with the proper PVC pipe fittings to prevent any leakage.

To get rid of a sewer smell in your crawl space, you’ll have to find the source of the problem. If it has to do with your sewer lines, then repairing the line will help. You may need to make other repairs, like fixing your sump pump or encapsulating your crawl space to reduce moisture. After you make the repair, depending on the issue, you may still need to clean out your crawl space to get rid of the stink.

The best option is to alter the plumbing. Moving and centering the drain pipe behind the sink usually does the trick and creates the sleek, minimalist look that pedestal sinks offer. If you don’t want to do any plumbing work, there are a few decorating hacks:

  • Painting the pipes

  • Placing shelves, plants, or baskets in front of the pipes

  • Adding a sink skirt
