"Aden Delagrange and his construction crew did a great job on our porch project. They poured a new concrete pad, constructed a large pole-structure porch with standing seam metal roof, and installed a new patio french door. Through all this, Aden was very communicative and responsive to all my questions. He is easy to reach by phone. The crew is patient and spend time discussing the customer's options before beginning work. The project was completed on time and within budget. I have experience working with various contractors, and D&L impressed me with their quality of framing. Nothing was done sloppily or rushed. Everything was square, clean cut, and to our specifications. I would trust D&L to do any type of concrete, framing, or metal roofing project you may have. 5/5 stars."

Customers say: Quality work

"Buck’s Exteriors quoted a reasonable price for an asphalt shingle roof replacement on my home. They were on time, very professional, yet friendly and personable. They protected my wife’s gardens and cleaned up as they worked. The owner, Cliff Buck takes pride in his work and spent time explaining the roofing process. In my opinion Cliff is honest and trustworthy. All work was done to my satisfaction and I recommend Buck’s Exteriors if you want a quality job."

To apply for a roofing permit, contact your local building authority. You may visit their office in person or contact them via phone or email. For more information on how to start the process, visit their website.

Yes, roof ridge caps are a necessary part of your roof system. Your roof ridge cap is at the peak of your roof, where two slopes of your roof meet. Roof ridge caps seal the seam and help protect your roof from water and debris, and because they’re pre-bent and thicker, they’re more suited to the job than regular roof shingles, which can break when bent.

Generally, the term “rolled roofing” refers to MSR (mineral surface roll) roofing. This type of roofing is similar to asphalt shingles but comes in a roll that’s unraveled and installed over your roof deck. There are many types of rolled roofing, including TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen roofing (aka torch down roofing).

Roof work is dangerous and exacting, and a misstep could lead to even more costly repairs, so we do not recommend DIYing. If you are dead set on giving it a go, practice safety measures. Wear a harness, only work during mild weather, and have a partner to help. Potentially DIY-friendly jobs include patching up small leaks, sealing areas around the chimney, and replacing a few shingles.

The average cost to winterize a house is about $250, but it can range from $65 to $1,000 depending on the type of work that needs to be done. For homeowners that are experienced DIYers, it can save quite a bit on costs. However, you shouldn’t attempt tasks you aren’t familiar with or are potentially dangerous.
