"Aden Delagrange and his construction crew did a great job on our porch project. They poured a new concrete pad, constructed a large pole-structure porch with standing seam metal roof, and installed a new patio french door. Through all this, Aden was very communicative and responsive to all my questions. He is easy to reach by phone. The crew is patient and spend time discussing the customer's options before beginning work. The project was completed on time and within budget. I have experience working with various contractors, and D&L impressed me with their quality of framing. Nothing was done sloppily or rushed. Gaps between tiles are necessary to help with weatherproofing, allow for thermal expansion, and increase wind resistance. In general, a small gap no larger than 3 millimeters wide will encourage proper drainage and limit cracking. Beyond that, tiles should overlap a minimum of 3 inches, except at the eaves where they should extend to the center of the gutter.

There is a weight limit for walking on a roof, but it’s determined by your roof structure and not the roofing material, at least in the case of a metal roof. Consider that entire teams of roofers will be on top of your home during the installation, so the weight of a single person won’t compromise your roof.
