"Dave, once again, did a fantastic job. I live in a small old, old house and he tackled all the problems that come with working on a house that is tight on space and just plain crooked with ease. He's great at answering questions and trying to help you find solutions to problems that aren't even on his list of "to-dos". He doesn't just care about getting the job done he cares about the person or family in the home as if it was his own family. If you are looking to renovate a preexisting space, Diamondwood is your team."
""We hired them to transform an unfinished 14-foot by 26-foot space above our garage into a multi-functional room for the whole family. From start to finish, Kirk and his team of skilled professionals including electricians, drywallers, painters, flooring specialists, and HVAC technicians demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and a clear commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.Everyone on the crew was punctual, professional, and dependable, earning our trust throughout the entire project. They also took great care to leave the workspace clean and organized at the end of each day, which we truly appreciated. We highly recommend them for any project, big or small. Their workmanship, reliability, and professionalism are outstanding.""
"Ayers was great to work with! Before even coming to the house, they sent a booklet regarding their systems so that we could do our own research. When Donny arrived, he inspected our basement and made several recommendations, taking the time to explain why he suggested each option over others. When the crew arrived for installation, PJ took the same time and care explaining their process and answering our questions."
"As far as I know the work is good. I haven t been under the house to look yet. I m waiting for it to dry out and warm up. But I can tell from the inside of the house that my floor is more solid and I have less cold air entering my home from the insulating they did. Workers were nice and courteous. I do feel like if I have a problem that they will address it honorably."

"After a severe rainfall my wife and I discovered water was forcing its way through the basement slab and in between the slab and cove joints in our basement. Knowing that we wanted to eventually finish the basement, I contacted five different contractors to assess which had the best solution to keep the area dry. In the end we chose Stay Dry based off the company's proposed solution, experience, and positive review base on Angie's List. While Stay Dry's solution was similar to what other contractor's quoted, it was superior in that they used triple-walled perforated pipe--not corrugated--that was installed next to the foundation footer as it should be. Don't let a waterproofing company--in my particular case, Ayer's Basement Systems--convince you that a drainage tile can be installed on top of the foundation footer and function properly. Reading guidelines the Department of Energy and Oak Ridge National Laboratory established for proper foundation water management, and a little common sense, confirm this. All of this is to say that Stay Dry proposed and installed a system that is proven to work, and they did so with excellent workmanship. Jim and his crew were courteous and professional in their conduct throughout the installation, and I would heartily recommend them--and Stay Dry--to anyone needing basement work. They literally went above and beyond the scope of what they were paid to do. They installed a dry well for us, and then they took extra time to move the left-over dirt to areas that needed improved grading to keep water away from the house. Nowhere was this in the contract, but they did it free without question. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the finished product, but there is one small thing that could have been done better from the sales side. We decided to opt for the battery backup sump pump with the Pump Spy monitoring service, but the Stay Dry sales rep did not disclose the fact that the Pump Spy service itself included just a 30 day trial, after which there is a $4.99 monthly fee. I was not made aware of this until I went to activate the service online when the system was installed. $4.99 is not bad for being able to regularly monitor the sump's activity and any issues that could arise, but I do wish that the Stay Dry rep had informed me ahead of time. Regardless, I highly recommend that anyone who is having basement water issues give Stay Dry a call and rest assured that their work is worth the investment.
"Awesome and Great!! Let me start with their sales person. His name is Corey! I loved this guy. so professional, great helper, and very knowledgeable. Corey went over all details and explained everything so patiently to me, and then he went out and bought a brand new sump pump and replaced it with our old broken one at no cost for his labor. I knew right away since that moment I will hire this company because of this very nice and good man. Tracy! this is a great person who runs and manages the teams, date, and time. I can say she's a great customer service. Tracy went through the finance and explained even the small details with kind and professionalism. Jake (The Foreman) and his very polite and professional team. All I can say regarding this team (I just love them, honestly) very quiet, very professional, very clean, very polite, knows what they are doing, and very respectful. Usually, the workers are talking a lot or swearing, but this team and Jake were very professional. I never even heard them talking just doing their job with respect for all my family and kids in the house. I will defiantly hire them again and I already recommended them to all my family, friends, and neighbors! Great Job guys! You are Awesome!"
Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.
On average, a mudjacking repair lasts between five and 10 years, though it can sometimes last for well beyond a decade under ideal conditions. Its longevity depends heavily on several factors, including the condition of the underlying soil, environmental conditions like freeze/thaw cycles and erosion, and whether the root cause of the sinking, such as drainage issues, is resolved. Because it doesn't always fix the underlying problem of loose soil, mudjacking is often considered a temporary solution. Proper maintenance and evaluation can help extend its lifespan.
Most projects take 1-3 hours, with immediate usability after completion.
Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.
Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.
