"WOW!!! I'm truly impressed!!! I set up an appointment with Inex through this site and heard from Nick within a couple hours as I set it up very early in the morning. He told me he could take care of my needs easily and quickly as my granite counter top seam broke loose. He showed up on time and quickly got to work and was done in about 30 minutes. He even went ahead and cleaned the sink thoroughly from watermarks and rust!!!!! Then guaranteed the work for three years and told me to call him as soon as I noticed an issue. I'm almost 100% sure there won't be, but I'm glad I have his number in case! Thank you, Nick for doing such outstanding work!!! I highly recommend Nick and this company! :-)"

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

When installing an undermount kitchen sink in a granite countertop, use 100% silicone to secure the basin. If you’re worried your sink is too heavy, speak with a countertop professional about how to adhere the sink to the countertop without worrying about issues down the road. Sagging undermount sinks can be a common plumbing problem if they’re not properly adhered, so always make sure you’re using a high-quality material.

Mitered edge countertops are usually 2 to 2.5 inches thick. The thickness accounts for the 45-degree angle required to form a seamless corner, resulting in a dramatic and thick-edged appearance.

Concrete countertops usually cost more than granite. The average overall cost to install concrete countertops is $50 to $150 per square foot. Granite countertop costs average between $40 and $50 per square foot. While concrete materials might be cheaper than slabs of granite, the labor costs are considerably higher as it takes more time, specialized equipment and skill to form customized concrete countertops.

The best budget-friendly countertop option depends on personal preference. Concrete is a great alternative to more expensive materials, as it can be cured and treated for unique designs. Another cheap material worth considering is plywood. It can be laminated or stained to suit nearly any aesthetic. Granite remnants are also a good choice.

Fortunately, there are many types of heatproof countertops. Granite, quartzite, concrete, and stainless steel are all fiery contenders. These surfaces work best in busy kitchens where hot pots, pans, and baking sheets are part of the daily routine. Plus, their durability means you get a long-lasting work surface that won’t flinch at a bit of heat or heavy use. However, many stone and concrete counters require a sealer, which is typically not heatproof.
