"They painted a shipment container. First, they power washed the shipment container and they painted it for me, and they clean up after themselves. They show up on time, professional, orderly, did a thorough job, clean up after themselves and worked with me in an efficient manner."

"Honestly, I was skeptical about painting our oak cabinets. I was terrified they would look like a cheap DIY paint job with brush marks, or that my house would be covered in dust. Home Hue Heroes completely proved me wrong. Darlin and Jeremy didn't just 'paint' the kitchen; they set up a full containment system (like a bubble!) so not a speck of dust got into the rest of the house. They were meticulous—labeling every door, scrubbing everything down, and sanding it to perfection. The finish? It is literally flawless. It feels like smooth glass and looks like it came straight from the factory. You cannot see a single wood grain or brush stroke. They used a high-end Sherwin-Williams coating that wipes down easily. If you are on the fence, just do it. They showed up on time every day, finished exactly when they said they would (5 days!), and gave us a 2-year guarantee. Highly recommend!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Schippers Co- P.S- I wanted to add another remark about the Schippers Co- just to add our final, overall experience with Nick and his colleague, Larry. Awesome work, great cleanup and satisfaction guaranteed. Like any or all new painting-walls, ceiling, trim; etc, you may discover after your paint dries, there may be a touch up or another coat that needs application. We only had our kitchen that we were on the fence about as we thought one more coat was sufficient. That does not have anything to do with their professional standards, it has to do with how the paint coat drying! Schippers wanted to not only know, they wanted to make it right to our ease of mind and are so professional, they came back after a week and put their final touches on it. They came back smiling; and got to it. Quick, and easy is their mantra. Aside from the RFQ?s put out wouldnt you choose this company! Five Star- TAD"

"Randy and his crew were superb to work with. They did a wonderful job painting the interior of my condo - all of the ceilings and walls, and paid attention to details. Everyone was professional and very easy to work with. I would not hesitate to contract with Durapro again or to refer them to others."

Painting questions, answered by experts

If your cedar fence is new, don’t delay. Unlike treated pine, you don’t need to wait months for the wood to dry out for it to accept stain. With cedar, the sooner, the better. Seal cedar within two weeks of installation to prevent the sun from fading its red color.

If you have the time and the budget, we strongly recommend staining your fence, especially if it's looking a bit tired or hasn't been treated recently. While you may not see the same return on investment (ROI) as you would with a project like a kitchen remodel, staining a fence is one of the best ways to add a facelift to your property—a new fence stain adds serious curb appeal to your home.

Wood stain does go bad, but it will last in the can for between three and six years, provided you use proper storage techniques. Storing wood stain in open containers or in extremely low or high temperatures will cause your wood stain to become unusable much more quickly. Water- and latex-based wood stains typically last for just two to four years, while oil-based wood stains can last for three to six years.

You should stain both sides of your fence to get the full benefits. Fences often fall along property lines, so you may want to save a buck by leaving your neighbor’s side in the dust. If you do that, all you get is a slightly better view. Moisture and UV rays can still sneak in through the side that’s unpainted or worn down and damage your fence. Rot and rust will spread, even if you can’t see it from your side of the lawn.

On most untreated wood fences, there is no need to sand before treating. You typically only need to sand if there’s an old coat of paint or stain on your fence. If you do need to sand off a previous paint or protective coating (like an old stain or sealant), use medium-grit sandpaper.
