Peel-and-stick wallpaper works best on painted or primed drywall without a textured finish.

Choose accent pieces such as throw pillows or light fixtures with patterns. Having a white wall can be a plus as it allows homeowners to easily decorate their homes as they desire without worrying about clashing with the paint color. 

Accent walls can feel out of place or distracting if not well designed. Accent walls that don’t fit in with a room’s style can feel jarring or overpowering. Some accent wall styles can also feel dated, but fortunately, it’s easier to update a single wall than an entire room.

While you technically can put wallpaper in a bathroom, it doesn’t mean you should. Bathrooms are high-humidity areas, but if your bathroom is well-ventilated, it can work, especially depending on the placement. If the wallpaper is installed away from direct water contact, like a vanity or accent wall, it will hold up better than if it were directly next to the shower.
